We recently held a fundraiser at the World's Fair Marina and we could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. The staff from the beginning were extremely accommodating and made sure to take care of us as we were busy hosting the fundraiser. They even came by and hand delivered drinks and came to us with a plate of appetizers. The little things matter! The room was set up beautifully with pink decor and the room brought tears to many eyes as we threw this fundraiser for an amazing friend of ours. The food was absolutely delicious. We had lemon piccata, pepper steak, sausage and peppers, penne a la vodka plus salad. It was an amazing spread and people went up for seconds. My kids loved the rice in particular and especially the dessert table of pastries and fruit. The bar tender was a sweetheart and their homemade fruit punch is so tasty. It's virgin so kids had it and they loved it. Adults added some liquor and wow - amazing cocktail. Without a doubt, this venue is the place in queens to hold a party. The gorgeous views and amazing service + food = a great time for all! So much gratitude to the staff and owners for being so accommodating and welcoming.

The World’s Fair Marina doesn’t get talked about enough for what it offers. The venue boasts two spectacular ballrooms for events and weddings, and the one on top is beyond remarkable. It sits just off to the side of the Grand Central Parkway going past Flushing Bay Promenade. The Marina also has a beautiful outdoor gazebo with a walking path along the waters that allows you to gaze into the city lights of College Point just across the way. And just when you think you’ve seen all of its beauty, it KEEPS ON GOING! The Marina‘s ballroom event spaces are not only spacious and luxurious, they also have aesthetically pleasing slanted ceilings with large windows to the side. If you plan your wedding here around sunset, your guests will feel like they’re in heaven! It’s not just a venue, though. The space around the banquet hall holds a lot of culture, dating back to 1939! It was originally constructed to accommodate the 1939 World’s Fair, and then was later renovated by Robert Moses to accommodate 800 boats for the 1964 World’s Fair. instagram @section

The flow of the event depends upon who the manager is. Some are stern while others are quite friendly to work with. It’s important to ask questions directly to the manager because there are certain waiters who will provide the wrong information without hesitation. For instance, there’s a particularly chatty and unprofessional waiter who impedes on vendors. Each time we’ve been hired for this venue, this particular waiter will disrupt our work flow with forced conversation and questions about the events (keeping in mind that we’re florists, not planners). We hope management reviews professional behavior with their waiters! Overall, a beautiful space for intimate events. Warm weather weddings fare best for this space that clients can take advantage of the marina and get background pictures! Food is also good. Vishal, the manager is extremely professional and friendly to work with!
