Newark Terminal B — Attraction in Newark

I’ve been to airports in more than 30 countries and the Terminal B 40-47 TSA staff are probably the rudest, most obnoxious, and most insulting I’ve witnessed, possibly ever.

The usual TSA yelling was there, which is expected.

But one staff member working today, a middle aged African-American woman with short spiky hair, treated us like we she was about to fight us. She kept angrily screaming to all of us “What is wrong with you people?! What don’t you understand?!” She commanded us to organize our stuff while also angrily grabbing our stuff at the same time when we tried to fix it. Then she would shout at us again. Even other passengers also noticed how uniquely rude she was and one said she was disgusting. I completely agree.

I understand being a TSA officer may be a stressful job but it is not fair to take it out on us. She looked like she was about to come her breaking point with us. In the Delta luggage pick up area they have a small office. I was a little delayed getting to the carousel & it was empty 😟. My heart sunk, then out of the corner of my 👀 I saw it inside the office. I popped my head inside & asked if I was in trouble being it was in there. He said no, just makes it easier for him to keep an eye on it when the carousel is down to only a few bags. I grabbed it and stepped outside for my ride. I realized I had left my cellphone in the bathroom & frantically ran back inside. My bags were heavy & didn't want them to slow me down. I explained my situation to the gentleman in the Delta office, I literally had my stuff for a minute & him seeing me distressed said I could leave it there while I retrieved my phone. I would give it a two star but I never do unless it’s absolutely and horribly bad. I still find Newark difficult to navigate to and from the plane. Checking in was a hot mess. TSA was even worse. Thank goodness we arrived 5hrs early since it took 1hr 20min to get thru. Finally got thru TSA then had to deal with Lufthansa and their disorganization or boarding. They don’t explain how they’re boarding so people were just standing at the boarding gate as soon as they arrive causing congestion and confusion. The layout of the airport isn’t an easy flow. Baggage claim isn’t too bad but like I said, it’s not the easiest. Overall, I won’t fly out from here unless it’s my last resort...
