Ambar Estate — Attraction in Newberg

What an absolutely exceptional wine-tasting experience my family and I enjoyed on Saturday, August 24! From the moment we stepped out of our vehicle until the final goodbyes, every aspect of our visit was nothing short of amazing.

The culinary experience was truly exquisite—every thing paired perfectly with their outstanding wines, creating a symphony of flavors that delighted our palates. It’s no exaggeration to say that Ambar Estate is now my favorite winery in the world. Sharing this experience with my adult family created memories that we will cherish forever.

We couldn't stop talking about the entire experience during our drive back home. The facility layout was impeccable, with attention to detail that did not go unnoticed—even the bathrooms were something to experience!

The staff were top-notch—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. We felt so welcomed and well cared for throughout our visit. My husband, who was attending his first wine tasting, remarked that the bar has now been set incredibly high, and nothing will ever compare to Ambar Estate.

Oh, and I can't forget about the wine, right? It was so amazing. My favorite was the Ambar Estate Sacra Terra Pinot Noir. YUM! Thank goodness they ship to Florida!

My husband and I had an exceptional experience at Ambar estate and look forward to coming back next time we are in the Willamette Valley! From start to finish, all the employees were inviting, kind and very knowledgeable. The architecture and attention to detail in every room (even the bathroom!) was intentional and beautiful.

We took a look into one of the tasting rooms and the vibe is cozy and inviting. It’s as if they are inviting you into their home, with a stunning view. My husband and I did a private food and wine pairing. I am currently pregnant and was over the moon to hear they were able to provide non alcoholic options. They created custom syrups to pair with the meals and I loved them all!

Heidi is the chef and we have nothing but amazing things to say about her. She is truly gifted at what she does. Her creativity, design, and chef skills are one of a kind. I wouldn’t say my husband and I are super knowledgeable in the wine world and my husband noticed a drastic difference in the taste of the wines when he drank it before the food vs. with the food pairing.

Staff, ambiance, wine, food, & vibes were 10/10. The day kicked off with the warmest greeting from the staff, a taste of their lustrous Chardonnay and a quick tour of the grounds. The bell of the ball is an enormous and beautiful giant redwood that centers a perfectly manicured Japanese inspired garden. The ambiance of the rooms epitomized underrated elegance. Cozy, timeless, and inviting amongst the Dundee hills backdrop. Visual heaven.

Our server, Connery, was educational, laidback, and fun. All of the wine was delicious (My fav was the Sacra Terra Pinot Noir) and I loved learning about their regenerative organic practice. We ordered the charcuterie board which is a must order in my opinion as well as the fall burrata which was to die for so we ordered a second. It came with the most delicious scallion pita that I will be thinking about for years to come. The food was phenomenal.
