We were excited to visit Lucid Wild; the property itself is stunning, modern, and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the pricing model and service left a disappointing impression.
Tastings are overpriced compared to other wineries in the area, and access to different areas of the building (rec room, downstairs patio, etc.) required higher spend thresholds. For example, being required to purchase two bottles just to enjoy the recreational room felt excessive and absolutely unnecessary.
As a first-time visitor, it would have been nice to freely explore the property without feeling restricted or constantly reminded of “off-limit” sections. Our server only reinforced that sense of being unwelcome, watching where we went and making us feel like we didn’t belong. On the other hand, one of the directors we met was warm and welcoming, which stood in stark contrast to the rest of the experience.
Overall, while the property is beautiful, the pricing model, unwelcoming service, and access limitations overshadowed the visit. I truly hope they re-think their approach, because the setting itself...
Read moreI can say with complete confidence that LucidWild is in a league of its own when it comes to wineries. The minute you step inside, your breath will be taken away by the stunning architecture and design. Just wait until you experience the gorgeous views on the massive balcony. By the way, this balcony also has a game room. What other winery has a game room?! The fine-tuned attention to detail consistently impresses in the underground wine cave with its private dining areas. There is a particular "secret room" that I won't spoil, but be sure to ask one of the incredibly friendly team members for the password. The owners, Blair and LJ, were so kind and hospitable, and it was a treat to hear their story in creating this incomparable establishment. Oh, of course I can't leave a legitimate review without mentioning the delectable selection of LucidWild's wines. Depending on your personal tastes, I highly recommend the Beast; we left with several bottles. Truly, I could sing LucidWild's praises until I'm blue in the face, but instead I implore you to experience it...
Read moreMy wife and I have been tasting wines in Dundee, Oregon since the mid-90s (long before it was designated as an AVA) and were immediately attracted to its distinct Pinot Noirs. LucidWild Estate, the latest addition to the Dundee Hills, put together a team of wine professionals from the ground up starting with how the land is farmed. Knowing it prides itself on sustainable practices, the quality of the wines (Pinot, Chardonnay and Sparkling) are top shelf resulting in excellent quality and diversity. LucidWild has a variety of tasting experiences that are unmatched. We’ve enjoyed sipping from the Sky Terrace, getting cozy in the living room or cave, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. We look forward to the Club Member Harvest dinners because the food pairings complement the wine so well. It’s a can’t miss when tasting wine in Oregon and we look forward to sharing the experience with...
