South Ridge Lodge — Attraction in Newry

Sunday River now has some of the best lifts in the all of North America with the Barker 6 and Jordan 8. This compliments the S tier grooming and snowmaking which can always be relied upon. Time to bring South Ridge Lodge up to the same standard. I love it for old school New England nostalgia but this is the face of the resort in many ways and shouldn't feel as tired as it does. White Cap Lodge can afford to be rustic but this area could use modernization. I'm not asking for cold, generic corporate style seen at Vail resorts but some new carpet, fresh paint and a few extra stylistic embellishments from year to year would go a long way toward building the character of anyplace that likes to bill itself as a "resort".
