Bay Oaks Park — Attraction in Norfolk

BROEKN GLASS. It's a very nice park for walking and children. But be careful if you wander anywhere away from the park equipment, any patch of grass you'll find broken glass, everywhere!! I took my kitty here for his Sunday walk, and he loved all the low branches on the trees and loved exploring, but I had to watch where we stepped very carefully to avoid the glass shards. There's a bathroom building, and usually a bowl out for dogs behind the building. Noise from cars can get a little loud, and they're tearing down a house right across the street at the moment so if you have easily startled pets they might find it spooky. Great New park still needs some work though. I found a chain saw blade the city workers had left behind (they were landscaping the other day) my daughter almost stepped on it. I have contacted the city about this waiting on reply.And one of the new swings had a very loose bolt like about to fall out I had to screw it back in by hand. It needs to be torqued. I've been here twice with my family! It is family friendly. Only complaint is the dogs barking across the street, but not a huge bother. I'm able to play with my children and they really enjoy this park. It meets the play time needs of both my 7 year old and 1 year old! Plenty of space for nature and it's residents to comfortably inhabit the area, which gives us something nice to explore and observe while relaxing in the...
