Don’t walk here; run! 10 stars!
I’m so glad we finally decided to try Luna Azteca out. Don’t let appearances fool you, as with a lot of food trucks in OV, this one is top notch! But man, this one is really the creama of the crop! I assume this is now a permanent location as they have flags, seating, and even a red carpet up to the truck to order (though you can order ahead online too, as we found out,) but it appears they also have a food truck for events.
We were excited to see this pop up a block from our house and have been meaning to walk down here to try Luna Azteca out for some time; we finally gave it a shot tonight. We were quickly greeted and given a rundown of the menu. SO many options to choose from! We settled on trying the birria tacos and quesadilla ranchera first, but will be back soon to try out more of the menu! The consommé was just… amazing… and both meals were plentiful and delicious!
I hope this truck is here to stay or even ends up opening an indoor space eventually, it is delicious and well priced for both the quantity and quality. Don’t let my terrible quality photos fool you, this is my new favorite food truck in Hampton Roads, and I...
Read moreI hardly EVER post reviews but it feels criminal eating Luna Azteca and not coming here to give them the praise they’ve earned. Firstly, I was greeted by the owner and the staff and felt like I was apart of the family. I wanted to stay there and hang out and I’m not even a people person. They let me sample the Birria while I waited on my burrito and realized this would be the next item I get. The Jalisco Burrito was unlike anything you’re going to find out here- the sauce was like a honey chipotle; sweet and savory. Mixed with the seasoned chicken, cheese sauce, cilantro, rice, corn.. That’s when I realized this was my new favorite Mexican place.
If you’re on the fence about trying this place out; let me be the one to tell you to get your butt over there. Otherwise you’re...
Read moreRun! Don’t walk to this food truck! My husband and I just ordered from there and wow! We were first greeted by the staff and owners who were super welcoming and checked out the menu. With being from SATX, it’s hard to find food that reminds me of home and this place did not disappoint! We got the Tacos Al Pastor and Tacos de Carne Asada. Both were delicious especially with the salsas they offer! We tend to put a good amount of salsa on our tacos but I was not prepared for the spice in the Habanero Salsa. Most places in VA serve weak salsa so I was enjoying all the spice I could get! Can’t wait to head back and try their breakfast items too! My husband and I both agreed this is our new...
