I've been coming to the Bay Oaks Park where the market is located for a long time with my kids, but first time at their newish market in past couple years. I believe it was moved here from another location, but unsure.
Parking is a bit tight, but they do have their own lot on the West side of the park. Other parking is off street, however be mindful to not block residential drives and walks.
I really enjoyed the park layout of the market with its tree lined paths with vendors spread out nicely. If I had to guess it's on the smaller side to others markets in the 757. Likely around 35 vendors.
I purchased a sourdough loaf from Top Knot and veggies from another. I browsed many others. The anchor seems to be Klassic Doughnut's with a tremendous following and rightfully so. The line was too long today with my late arrival to partake in a treat.
Absolutely recommend checking them out. You can follow their social media handle on Instagram for...
Read moreGo to this place! Shop local, eat local, even wash your body with local soap (wait til you get home for that part). Love this place! Local food trucks, food to take home, meat, soap, spices, fresh veggies, flowers, coffee, jams, hot sauce, pickles....so many different vendors! This has become a staple for our family on Saturdays. Sometimes we come just to walk around and say hello to the vendors! Everyone is super awesome! Samples are back too!!! Hooray! Every Saturday during the spring and summer and every other during the winter. Right off the beach in East Ocean View. Plenty of street parking in the neighborhood so don't be discouraged if the small lot is full. There's porta potties there too. Recommend getting there right as they open if you come to try the donut truck that frequents or if you want the best selection. We always have...
Read moreI was expecting more vegetable and fruit venders. There was one decent size and a tiny one veg and fruit stand. There was egg , bison , pork, very small bakery goods, seafood vendors also. The parking might take a minute but not bad. The vast majority of vendors were selling, soap, candles and sauces. There was one food truck , donut and coffee truck all with long lines. The park is nice and shaded with large playground and a good place among the oaks for dog walks. There is a restroom building too which is a bonus. In the other side of Ocean View Ave is a beach entrance . If produce is your goal, there are better farm markets in VB. Perfect if you live in Ocean View, looking for nice place to wander, walk dogs, or a fun time...
