We hiked this trail to test out our snowshoes. There was plenty of available parking when we arrived around 11a. Trailhead is very accessible, suitable for any car. At the time of this review, snow on the main trail is packed so it's easy to walk on. Snowshoes weren't necessary on the main trail but lots of folks were wearing them. We did just fine with our Yaktrax and spikes could work as well. Hiking poles were very helpful. We popped on our snowshoes to go off the trail a bit about 2.5 miles up.
