They had several nicely groomed areas for beginners to play around on. Communication is not a stong suit for this outfit. Apparently there are yellow trails "just around the corner" and the nordic day pass gets you two lift rides but I'm not sure which lifts or if I even need a pass if I'm just going to ski around the beginner area and stay off the lift. Also, parking is a nightmare. Get there early...like before 10 am on the weekend because the nordic ski rentals sell out. In all, it was really fun but better communication systems and parking options would have made it nicer.

Cool place has its own cafe and sit down area also place to rent snow shoes an skies no snow boared that i saw though.. Lots of areas around this place as will to play in the snow or even take a walk in the snow. The places you will park at well have lots of snow and some dips but over all not too bad.

Arrived in time for the 1pm lesson with Craig Peterson. What a wonderful and well informed coach. He was patient and challenged each of us out of our comfort zones. Well worth the money invested. Will definitely come again.

The trails were really well groomed and great at the bottom (cold creek trail) , but there are no trail maps or makings for the nordic center and the employees were really unhelpful. Asked 3 employees how to get to the nordic center, and all were unsure about what was open or where to go, but suggested going up a chairlift and that the runs were somewhere up there. After we went up the chairlift, we found ourself forced to ski down blue downhill routes in cross country skis without edges, which is scary and probably not safe. I ended up having to walk down most of the way until we found the nordic center below, near Hyak. Now that I know where to go its great, but this is definitely geared more toward downhill skiing and felt like a slightly hostile...

I was very disappointed with my experience here. First, the parking situation is ridiculous and there is no signage directing you to the Nordic Center. What they call a Nordic center is an auxillary alpine center with a sign. There was not the atmosphere nor amenities of a true Nordic Center, especially one that would charge over $20 for trail passes. The worst part is the lack of guidance on how to get to the main trails and, if you do, you have to ski up a trecherous steep slope. The grooming was also questionable as there were footprints throughout the skate lanes and generally no sense of this being a place designed for Nordic skiers. A big disappointment as I have skied at hundreds of places throughout the US and this was my worst...

This place is not well-managed but one of the closest places to Seattle for x-country skiing. For a lesson, you must wait in the same line as everyone checking-out rental gear (often a long line), which makes no sense. Staff are not incredibly helpful or in a hurry to help you. At least the instructors are indeed good and friendly. You can't even buy a season pass for the Nordic Center AT the Nordic Center. You have to get back in your car and go to another location within the Summit at Snoqualmie, at least that's what they made us do. Phone staff also seems a little impatient and you're directed to call instead of making an appointment when you are...
