Beware of Parking Tickets at Summit East!
I've been a season pass holder at Summit East for over 10 years, but my recent experience with their NEW parking enforcement was beyond disappointing. I received a hefty fine $200 for parking in an area where there were NO clear signs prohibiting parking. On busy days, skiers have always parked in three rows at the overflow lot—something that has never been an issue before.
Despite disputing the ticket with reasonable evidence (plenty of space for traffic flow, no obstruction, no clear signage), my appeal was completely ignored and rejected. No warnings, no flexibility—just a straight-up cash grab.
If you're coming here, be extremely cautious about where you park, even if you see others parked the same way. Apparently, rules can change without notice, and the only way you'll find out is with an overpriced ticket.
Summit should focus on clear signage and fair warnings, rather than aggressively ticketing loyal pass holders. This kind of treatment leaves a bad taste and makes me reconsider whether I want to keep supporting...

After a while, two ski patrol came and talked about going down there, but they said to each other that it was too difficult and no ski patrol has gone down there in the last 2-3 days, so they just went away and left my son and his friend there (both are 12 yrs). My son had to borrow his friend's skies (thank god their boots are the same size) and go down there by himself, and no one helped. Isn't ski patrols' responsibility to help people who needs help even if it is really difficult? How can those ski patrols, who are adults and professionals, leave a kid there to do it by himself without any help? Shame on them! I'm glad my son is a tough kid to get it done without those lazy cowards to fulfill their duties...
Read moreThe trails were really well groomed and great at the bottom (cold creek trail) , but there are no trail maps or makings for the nordic center and the employees were really unhelpful. Asked 3 employees how to get to the nordic center, and all were unsure about what was open or where to go, but suggested going up a chairlift and that the runs were somewhere up there. After we went up the chairlift, we found ourself forced to ski down blue downhill routes in cross country skis without edges, which is scary and probably not safe. I ended up having to walk down most of the way until we found the nordic center below, near Hyak. Now that I know where to go its great, but this is definitely geared more toward downhill skiing and felt like a slightly hostile...
