It was well worth the Climb. It is a strenuous path to accomplish, coming from a heavier body type, a person who doesn't work out. I seen alot of people going up, who were not aware of what they were getting themselves into. It is steep and rocky. But beautiful. The right tshirt, pants/shorts, and shoes and it will be a little more pleasant. I almost gave up. But the view was to good to let go, so I kept going. It took me nearly 2 hours to get up, it would be faster for someone in shape and better prepared. When you think you've brought enough water, BRING MORE. We love this place

It's an easy hike to the top, around 2 miles from the trailhead. But safety first: be careful to watch your steps on the trail, there are some rocky segments which are accident prone. I was here in mid July when it was bright and sunny outside. The lake at this time looks blue-green from the top, and the top gives you some gorgeous views of mountain slopes blanketed by conifers.

Among all the amazing hikes in Seattle, this is something you can with half a day or so. It is totally worth it. Mountain tops are great places to refresh yourselves and think about life. Do you ever wonder how much you exist in other people's lives? I'm always curious if people think of me when a certain gathering comes up or when they pass a certain city.

Nice little trail. It was very crowded. Visited on a Saturday morning around 10 am. Ample parking spots available. Doesn't require discovery pass. It is dog friendly. Saw a lot of kids doing fine too. Several parts of the trail have very narrow slippery paths, but easy to manage. Just be cautious about such spots. Sadly, it was raining and visibility was too poor. Could only see almost opaque white clouds. Will go again. Do check weather before visiting. Another flag is the horrible toilets. Avoid using...

Never go here if you enjoy hiking. This place brings all the local non hiker folks in their flips flops and blue tooth speakers. So many people you can't even walk. It's just a cluster of people up and down all day long. Great views but with a slightly longer drive from the city you can get the same quality views without the crowd. Also lots of people park outside the park because the crowds are so big. It's just...
