This is an amazing hard hike. 3000 ft of elevation gain. Straight up the whole time. Hard on the knees on the way down. I did it without pokes and with my little dog. I wish I had poke about halfway down though. There's really no flat walking areas. Waterfall to cool off at halfway. The views at the top are amazing. I stayed up there for an hour. You can look down on snow lake. Definitely worth doing. The trailhead is about 50 ft before it to the right of snow lake and not marked. I downloaded the All Trails map for this. I got off trail once. Im glad I started at about 730 am. Was a Saturday and hot. Parking lot was full when I get down and also shared...

This "hike" was no joke... I'd call it more of a climb (scramble) because the whole way was up up up with no respite. I would definitely recommend hiking poles, good boots, water, snacks, and bug spray. Go on a clear day to really make the most out of the hard work. Views are great, but be wary! This isn't for everyone. I'm only 26, in good shape, and my knees...
