Extremely crowded. Most people not wearing masks.Tree fallen in the beginning of the trail still not removed. Nowhere to sit in between trail for rest . Tons& tons of flies & bugs. People threw their dog poop in bags everywhere randomly which was very mean & sad. Extremely rocky trail mostly. View is fine . Beginning of the trail is stair type elevation . The trail is not maintained well , overgrown shrubs in whole trail. We didn't complete the trail to the lake coz it was very rocky for my son . While coming back it's hard on knees . Parking area needs $5 change , very rocky dusty parking lot. We will never repeat this trail .

Great snowshoe route to Source Lake, but you have to be careful of oncoming ski traffic. Its a nice easy hike in the 1st half, then it gets a bit steeper to get to the upper valley basin. After the steep bit, its a gentle slope up to Source Lake. I typically would complete this round trip in about 1-3 hours, depending on how much time we play around in the snowfields with our dog. Be careful if you go near the river. There is a nice waterfall worth finding on the route, which is breathtaking in the winter.

Keep to the right of the trail and keep your dog on a leash. Skiers and boarders will be coming up fast with sharp edges.

Awsome trail. Open during the winter creating a beautiful hike for a family with children over 12. the snow was a bunch of fun but plan to get wet as the trail turns into a river when the snow melts in the sun. the large river next to the trail is stunning and the trees coated in white are picture perfect. A...
