It's been a while but food was ok, dinning was crowded and staff a little rude. Seems they want you to come in but then act like all they want you to do is scarf down the food and leave so they can turn the table. Too interested in quantity of of customers over quality of visit too me.
Beds were uncomfortable but clean. There is no cleaning service, and they check in on you constantly and will bicker and nit pick the place apart and make you clean up even if it wasn't your mess. Wake up calls are completely random and unreliable. It's very quite at night so you can sleep well especially if you are a light sleeper. The grounds are a great place to get your daily exercise fit in. Always a good group of motivated people to exercise with.
Don't try to drive there, parking is Non-existent, and the only place to shop is within walking distance, same for the dinning establishment. I recommend staying 8 weeks and most people do, some stay longer but depending you plans 8 weeks might be all you need, but an extended stay can be great, they add some perks when you...

Some of the healthy, fresh snacks such as salsa, fruit, guacamole, and sandwiches have come in handy at times when the galley is closed or very far from a worksite on base, and the Sailor hasn't the budget for the food court at the Nex. Usually, with students at the main entrance, the staff barks "IDs! Show your CAC cards!" without so much as a "hi," be it before or after the ID request. This makes a Sailor feel pitied and/or resented that this non-profit exists for them. However, the effort is appreciated nonetheless. The staff becomes very nice with a little time, the piano is beautiful, the occasional gluten free groceries are lifesaving, and many of the movies shown...
Read moreI loved everything and I mean that!đ even all the safety protocols. The base was absolutely beautiful in my opinion. When you come from Florida and you see lavender everywhere on the base and on the highways. In my opinion it's like maybe that is something that we should try in Fla it might make people a little bit more calm. Watching my son graduate from boot camp of the Navy. Is engraved in my brain. To put it in words to you guys and gals of what it was like there's no words to explain. There was no words to explain when they said you can now go get your sailor and I ran off them bleachers I think a flew lol. I have so much more to say but I'm not here to write a book. it was not only a journey it was an adventure and something that I will never ever ever...
