Arrowhead Wine Cellars — Attraction in North East Township

We stumbled upon this winery through my significant other, Ryan speaking to Mary about recommended wines. Dad is quite a wine guy and we purchased the Concord, Fredonia, and the Crooked Core. We're from Minnesota with our fair share of winery's and breweries. but HOLY MOLEY i wish we were closer! there's has to be some some amount of sugar in the water or the love the winery directs to its vineyard because Arrowhead Winery knocks it clear out of the park and well past the parking lot. WE WILL BE ORDERING AGAIN, seriously! The Wine was just supposed to be a fathers day gift and we taste tested these wines before going to my dad's favorite local winery. he was stunned. THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE AT ANOTHER WINERY HE WOULD NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS WINE. Will likely be trying other wines but if i had to get someone hooked? The location is beautifull, the view on the vines is really nice. In term of wine, the quality is quite good and I really enjoyed the red wines (despite clearly too much barrel time). The pinot noir with cranberry taste and the coolterroir were the most interesting to me. The Syrah is relatively good, although it would deserve a couple more years to give its potential.

The ice wine are interesting too but I don't like sweet wines generally speaking so it's hard for me to give an honest point of view on those.

The only thing I didn't really like was the tasting fees. 1$/wine, is really cheap, but it's not engaging. It would make more sense to me that it would be free or with a fixed fee refunded in case of purchase.

All in all a very good experience that I recommend to anybody...

We was on a bust tour. One of our stops was this Winery. I was so happy to stop hear I heard good things about it and was wanting to buy Ice Wine. She we stopped the lady at the counter was not nice at all. She and a man that both worked there started yelling at each other. I turned and ask is there a problem here. About 10 people that was on our bus did not buy wine because the way she was acting.. I think you should put up a sign up for no busses.. I told the lady over it and the bus drivers so they could pass the world.... I would never come there again.. The bad thing was you knew the busses was stopping at your place... I hope people see this and read how you respond to people that stop on...
