These employees are like the ones you call. They know nothing or do nothing. I turned in equipment all their equipment on a closed bundled service account on 9-12 -25 and returned equipment on 9-16-25 to in hammmond,in. Store. This account was not closed until the 21st or shows I had service up til then. I closed the account on 9-12-25. Trust me it was not easy and the guy fought me yelling trying to sell Me more services for an upfront fee of 100 more. I told him I'm not the owner of this account I'm closing it because he had passed away. He didn't care and refused to help In any way saying he was from the solutions department. I told him you are not providing any solutions! So next day on the 12th I called again. Talked to a girl there who outright lied to me. She put me on hold a very long time said her name was Mel.then came back and said account had been permanently closed and said I was right that xfinity bills one month in advance and tried to sell me service even waving the iPhone over my head as part of the promotion. I just wanted that count closed and not be a part of it. I agreed to pay the past due as owed. They shut services off 4 days prior to billing date. On the bill it tells you how you are billed and charged from.. I closed the account in plenty time and returned all the equipment. So why the 21st as I had to talk to the investigations dept because account holder had past. As if I was trying not to pay any money. I said I will pay for services watched but then I was billed for 2 more months after that! Now they wanted to know who I was and every about ne and if I lived at the address with the account holder. None of this is important. I'm the one who will pay for past due services or services watched. But not more than that. Investigations lady saw where I was right but have to find the right person and department to take off or fix the bill and seperate our bills. He is not me! If my credit is ruined due to this, I'm suing. They try to get you to pay monies you do not owe. And fight with you. One girl rude as she can be said she is a specialist and I cut her off, I had enough! I said I needed a phone number for investigations so you give me that number and we will see what kind of specialist you are! A loved one dies, it's very very hard. I agreed to pay for services used so why do they do this to people? ? Why ask what date he past away, why bring up these memories and Why do they make it so hard to close an account and why charge for services after account was permanently closed?! ! Is this in America? The owner of this account said he been with this company when they first ran cable lines paying 8 dollars a month. A tech said 1981. But nobody is willing to adjust a bill.why? Are they afraid to do their job? I doubt they will increase their customers because of their refusal to do their jobs and how hard they make it on people and basically try to rob people? Yes,Rob! Cannot bill me more money after account was closed and equipment turned in!! I wish federal agencies would interfere here. Many people they did this to and its unfair billing practices some employees agree I dont owe but unwilling to adjust a dam bill !! Read moreI got such a bad vibe from this place. I wanted a new phone and to port over my number from AT&T onto our family Xfinity plan. I figured it'd be easier and faster to do it in-store and walk out with a phone in hand. We came in on Saturday while it was raining, and the moment we stepped foot inside, before the door closed as we were wiping our wet feet, someone began motioning and directing us inside, saying we could look at phones along the wall or have a seat but we cannot stand in the doorway or his sensor keeps going off, and he did not stop repeating himself until we had cleared his sensor - feet still wet. Right away I had a bad feeling - we had just walked in, we aren't going to stand in your doorway, give me a second. We almost walked out, but I really wanted a phone.
We had to wait a few minutes, and while waiting, we overhear someone else saying they had come in before to try to port their number over and it was done incorrectly, and no one could figure out why. That was another bad sign. Then, the woman that was helping us was perfectly nice and her nails were very cool, but she was not someone who could function with extremely long nails. It took her so long to type in my husband's phone number on her tablet that I lost any remaining confidence. I faked a work email and we left.

Read moreWent to go get a new phone for one of the lines on my xfinity mobile account at the xfinity store in hammond on 165th and was told that in order to get a phone from the store I had to buy an accessory like a case or charger. Overheard the manager tell the associate that was helping me that either I can buy an accessory or she won't let me buy a phone from them. I know that this is just a tactic for the manager to make their sales look better. Called xfinity mobile customer service line and was told that is not any sort of policy the company has and stores should not be engaging in practices like this. Was also told that the issue with the store was going to be escalated and that bc of the escalation, someone would be calling me withing 24 hours to get more info about what happened.
UPDATE Went to the xfinity store in merrillville and was able to get a new phone for my daughter with absolutely zero problems and without having to buy any accessories. Told the associate that helped me what happened and he was puzzled and surprised by how my interaction went at the hammond store. I believe the associate that helped me in the merrillville stores name was brian. He was so great with handling the main reason I went to a store, to get my daughter a new phone, that I also added 3 new lines to my account.
