New Petros Restaurant — Restaurant in North Township

You guys are not going to believe the service I received today at this restaurant. There is no doubt in my mind that I will never ever return even if they gave me a year's free food. I get there with my lady around 10:30 am. I ordered chorizo and eggs with flour tortillas and my lady ordered chicken fingers with fries and soup. When my order comes out they gave me one big burrito tortilla for my chorizo so I has to make it into a burrito. The coffee was horrible. After I finished eating, I was getting ready to put my coat on when I looked down on my plate and saw a big cockroach walking across my table into my plate. I looked at my lady in shock and pointed at the roach. She almost threw up right there at the table. I call the waitress over and all I did was point down at my plate and she gasped and took a napkin off my table and chased the roach into the napkin. She apologized but I asked for the manager. Can you believe that when she left it took almost ten minutes for the manager to come to my table. The only thing that he could do was keep telling me he was sorry and that he sprays for bugs and that he can't kill them all. He then asked me where did it come from. I told him it was moving across my plate. He tells me that they hide inside the tables and seats. He spoke with broken English and picked up my bill and told me that he will take care of it. Now people, I have not been to eat here in several years but decided to go because I never had bad service before. Anytime a roach is bold enough to step out in the daytime and walk across your plate with a restaurant full of people tells a lot about what is going on behind the scenes. This has to be the worst service I have ever received in my life. I am warning everyone out there who can read, DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. I plan on filing a complaint with the health department as well as the Better Business Bureau. Now I have to wonder if I brought any of them home when I sat my coat next to me in the booth. I was so tempted to stand up and announce to everyone that there was a cockroach on my plate but I instead said I would just right a review warning everyone about roaches in their food. So if you read this and still go there to eat, then you deserve it....

Walked into a full house, so my family and I thought we were in for a good meal. Our waitress greeted us and was really nice and we ordered our food. The food was TERRIBLE. As we were eating we were watching the waitresses behind the bar and saw one pick up some French fries that fell on the counter and put them back on a plate with her bare hands. Then there was a waitress walking around touching all of the counters and the chairs, touching her face, wiping her nose on her hands, and then taking food to customers. While she was doing this, we saw her ponytail swing into the food on the tray. And we saw her trying to sneak drinks from the soda fountain and eat food while working. All the while the owners just sat around, let the phone ring 5 times before answering it, and talked with each other. We all lost our appetites and I remembered that I had heard the people had found roaches in their food here, wasn't surprised when that was the first review I read.

Again, our waitress with the short hair was really, really great. She seemed to be one of the only employees that took her...

I've been to this restaurant many times and there is a lot to recommend. But there are also a few issues. First the good news. They always chicken noodle soup and it is very good. The food is generally very good, nice portion sizes, and reasonably priced. They have a large menu with many choices. As you might imagine it is a popular restaurant which means when it is very busy it is very LOUD. So loud that on our last visit our small group of 3 couldn't have a conversation and the server had problems hearing our orders. To the credit of the server she kept repeating each order until she was sure it was correct. One part of the noise problem is the employees clearing and setting up the tables slam the plates, cups, and silverware. The other issue also happened on our last visit. We all ordered fresh fruit with our breakfast. And we all got cold fresh fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew) served on top of our eggs on hot plates! Not sure how any kitchen finds...
