A very well done museum with local history from native peoples thru French explorers thru recent days. High points included the story of the radium girls, Wild Bill Hickock, WW2 ship building, moonshine production, other local manufacturing , and canal history. The local staff were very helpful and gave us an excellent guided tour of one of the two buildings. Admission is free with donations welcomed. Read moreThe La Salle County Historical Museum is a great museum to learn about local history. I came there to check out their Radium Girls exhibit after learning about their exhibit on Tik Tok. The exhibit was wonderful as well as all their other collections on local history. Their collection is so big there is two buildings full of exhibits. there is even a library section to research any historical files they have.
