09/18/20 If the owners really cared they would have made the the complex ADA compliant. 09/16/20 Restriping of Parking lines has yet to happen. Thus the property remains NON-ADA Compliant with no interest in being compliant from Griffis Blessings who is the property owner.

There are 5 employees 2 in the office the rest are maintenance. OFFICE It is much better than when I first moved in, but there is still room for improvement. At times there is no one in the office available to receive packages from USPS, UPS, FEDEX, & Amazon. The other problem it is problematic it getting them to answer the phone. In rating of the office staff I would rate them at 2 stars MAINTENANCE From my perspective Tim & Cody are very helpful in meeting my disability needs & very prompt in resolving maintenance issues but at times the are hamstrung by the corporate office, Griffis Blessings, who have no interest in upkeep of the property. In rating of the maintenance staff I would rate them at 4 stars. They make a strong effort in keeping the residents happy.

The property owners concern for renters well being I would rate them at a -20 stars. And based on the property owners treat its residents I would strongly discourage anyone from renting here who is disabled. You might be asking why do I stay here the answer is simple, when I first moved here I told myself that my next move would be into a house that I would be purchasing a home & anything less than that is only delaying me buy a home.

01/01/20 Parking on the apartment complex is very limited & comes as a first come in finding a parking spot. There are numerous Handicapped parking and some of them will be removed. In April sometime they will be repainting all of the parking spots because the spacing around Handicapped Parking Spaces has very specific measurements that must be adhered to. In addition they are supposed to install wheel stops to prevent any vehicle from entering a space on the sidewalk were a Handicapped Individuals can safely walk on. In one spot on the property they have yet to install a Handicapped Ramp & to connect two sidewalks together, which is where the ramp needs to be installed.

9/11/2017 When it comes to handling issues you might have with your neighbors the Village at North Hills & the management company, Griffin Blessing, will not help you in any fashion. They do not want to be a responsible management company nor do they care about its tenants. They just want your money & shirk all the responsibility of being a good management company. They will blatantly ignore federal; state; & municipal law. A few weeks ago I had a new neighbor move in above me. Foolish me, I though I was going to have a nice quite neighbor but the very next day after him moving in his dog started barking non stop. I called the complex office & Melanie Gomez's responce said "not are problem call the cops."

I wrote a fair review of this place. My review was very detailed in nature. It rubbed a portion of the staff here the wrong way & in a meeting one of them I quote "I beg you to please take it down"

Being that I live here still I decided to take it down.

There are fire doors that don't seal shut when you close them.

This property has a key fob system that has serious issues that need to be addressed. The police can not getting in. The morning on 8/21/17 the fire alarm went off & the system operated as normal but what should have happened was the magnetic locks should have released until the system was restored. When this system was being installed I asked was the system tested to make sure it works correctly, I was told that it was. Every complaint about the system went on headed that could have some seriously go wrong.

The owners responce is a joke. They were surprised when I came to discuss my review and it was not the owners but Melanie & Tim. The result of the meeting was it was a complete waste of my time. Melanie was just as argumentative as she alwas is. My guess is that she is insecure and can't handle criticism based on...

Dear prospective tenants, RUN!!! This place seems like a good place to live, until you've lived here for a while. And for a while I mean a couple of months. I have lived here about 8 months and will NOT be returning next year. Overall, the complex is in pretty decent shape and the accommodations are nice albeit pricey. The floor plans are pretty decent and the outdoor patio with mountain view (for me) and fireplace are a plus. Pool and weight room are not a glamorous as the photos on the web make them appear. As well, apartments don't live up to their photos. If you sign a lease here, be prepared to be treated poorly. If you are thinking of being a tenant here, listen carefully. Here, you are not a tenant, you will be a commodity. Often several times a week you will come home to be greeted by a note taped to your door. In brief, the notes say either "You can't do X. You must do Y within 24 hours or Z will happen resulting in a fine A and a further penalty fine B." or "We are going to do C effective immediately." For me, it's been "We are entering your home tomorrow. You must accommodate us by locking up any pets, etc." When I read this at 8pm and have to be up by 5:30am the next morning, this doesn't give me a whole lot of options. Others we're received were "You must remove your satellite dish. We do not permit satellite dishes and we will charge $200 if it's not removed within 24 hours and additional late fees and penalties." Never mind that four bolts keep a satellite dish on and it takes all of 4 minutes to remove one, the dish was placed there by the previous tenants. Finally, they relented. They also wanted to charge me a fine and say that I could be evicted b/c I had changed the locks and their key no longer worked. In fact, the locks had gotten old and you had to do a little trick to get fix it. This note happen and give you a fine and an ultimatum and virtually no time to correct the problem before they fine you. Meanwhile, I wish I could charge them $200 and a $35 service fee per day since I moved in for HAVING the satellite dish. Or I wish I could charge them for the approximately 10-15 things that maintenance never fixed that were broken from day one and that I reported on my move in form. They will try to charge you for everything and DON'T be late with rent. You will be looking at a MINIMUM of $325 ($75 fee + $35 service fee + $10 per diem + $200 attorney fee) for forgetting to pay rent before you left for holiday to the mountains. Oh, also they have a tow company, Aaliyah's, that lurks the grounds at all hours of the night looking for expired registration, low tire pressure, or any crack in your front windshield, and then it's $298 if you're lucky enough to catch them the very next day. Otherwise, tack on an extra $180. I've seen them tow my neighbor and friend's car out of a handicap spot for which he had his hang tag, resident parking, and plates. Poor guy isn't particularly mobile yet all they had to do was knock on his door or ask the office. Nope, better just make another $478 of this sucker. To conclude, the accommodations aren't half bad. The management and maintenance have been very friendly to me, but the fees and the "or else" notifications certainly send a message that someone is out to try to stick it to you at any costs and for any reason. It's not worth it. I'm the type of person that likes to come home and not worry about things and enjoy my time off. Instead, afters 8 months here, I'm constantly agitated, on guard, and worried for what they are going to try to pin on me next week.

ps - when I first moved in I didn't understand why the other tenants I met and befriended were dissatisfied with the place. I didn't see it as all that bad. All of the had lived here about a year and all of them moved out. One even was a rental agent for a different property by...

BE WEARY.

Stick with me till the end of this review. You'll want to.

I honestly have never left a review for anything before in my life, but after experiencing this management, I need to. I took over my friend's lease in March and wasn't introduced to any of the staff or been issued a welcome email containing information about who maintenance was on the property and who works there - whatever, who really cares. That was until I was working from home when all of a sudden a strange man whom I have never met before comes pounding, yes pounding, on my door demanding that I let him in. No, this is not an exaggeration. I asked him who he was and he was physically upset with me that I was not letting him in my home after giving me NO INFORMATION about who he was or why he was there. I was not given any notice either that someone would be coming to my home. I guess there was a water leak that needed to be addressed and he was part of maintenance but he didn't even communicate that to me.

When I asked him to show his badge, he frustratingly whipped out his phone and called the front desk stating "This lady won't let me in her apartment because she thinks I'm some intruder or something." Comforting - I know. Once the lady from the front desk showed up at my door - she was very kind and apologized for his behavior. But unfortunately, we are only getting started.

Upon my fire alarm breaking and being left going off for over 24 hours with no one from maintenance caring to repair it - my move out costs were the most comical part of living here.

My roommate and I had left the place in great condition. She was an engineer and even took off of work to paint over the entire apartment, vacuum, and leave everything just as we left it. When we received our Deposit Disposition - my roommate was expecting to get her deposit back. They had charged us for things like painting touch-up fees for $60, two unit cleaning fees for $100? (why they were not charged together, I don't know), carpet shampoo for $65, drip pans for $20, trash for $70, the list goes on.

Long story short - there are so many other, nicer apartments in the area that won't rip you off like this and will feel more welcoming. I recommend you...
