I think it is ridiculous, prejudistic and rude to not allow someone to bring their dog (on a leash) to this park, which offers the most of any in Novato. A park is the closest thing to nature that we have and Stafford is the nicest. All domestic living creature should be able to come into any park. For those that say they don't want to deal with owners that let their dogs offleash or with dogpoop, Well maybe I don't want to deal with humans that spit on the ground at any park, leave their picnic trash, drink and act like idiots, smoke, cuss, let their children run over or into people with their bikes, scooters and skateboards, play loud music, play and much more. Read moreWant a challenging Disc Golf course to play during the day? This is the park to spend all day and play disc golf and chill out. Bring a lunch or entire picnic and enjoy the water and vast rolling hills. If you venture out you'll find wild turkeys, gophers, and beautiful birds and hawks in their natural environment. Highly recommend bringing something to eat and drink or hit the Subway right before you turn into the park thats a couple miles back. They have restrooms and water fountains. Kind of bummed they charge 10.00usd for entry per vehicle. Its a great place to visit a couple times a month at least! Watch out for the poison oak too! Its everywhere up...

Everyone there was quiet and respectful of the other guests and the park is huge with lots of things to see while walking around. Good for hikes, fishing, birdwatching, nature, people watching, even disc golf if that's your thing. It does not allow swimming or boating since it a reservoir. That's also a good thing as it means less people, trash and rude boaters who don't care about quiet and nature. All around one of my favorite parks...
