Coral Crater staff was incredible! Our guides Celeste and Khalil were wonderful with our 7 and 11 year old on the zip lines. It was their first time on a zip line and the guides made sure they were comfortable and confident every step of the way. The zip lines here are not the longest nor the most “extreme”, but it a great place for beginners, families, and people of all ages. Definitely recommend the 6 line tour! We also did the adventure tower. The guides Sydney and Silas (I think!) were also incredible with our children. The adventure tour is definitely not suited for kids on the smaller side, mainly due to their height. It is very difficult to help children navigate the course (as recommended) because it is challenging as an individual at baseline. Although, my husband was able to help our 7 year old navigate through most of the course successfully. We ended up not being able to complete the entire tower due to height challenges as well as time constraints because of the large party in front us had us waiting a majority of the time. However, the staff was apologetic and gave some choices to finish out our time. We did the free fall and rock climbing wall. Silas (I think) was unbelievably patient with our 11 year old. He reassured and talked our extremely anxious child through the process (4 times!) and was able to successfully help him complete the challenge. We are so grateful for the wonderful staff!
Things to keep in mind, especially for families with younger children:
It is HOT. Be sure to apply sunscreen before hand and hydrate. We were allowed to wear our hats under our helmets. It was sweaty, but it helped block some of the sun. We made the mistake of leaving our water in the locker before we set off. If we went back I would maybe bring a carabiner and a Nalgene type water bottle to bring along so that your hands are free. There is not a water fountain available that I could tell. They do have water, Gatorade, juice, and soda available for purchase in the gift shop.
If you do the 6 line tour, there is a fair amount of walking and stair climbing required. Our kids were beat by the end of the tour. They do give you a 10 minute break 1/2 way through the tour to hydrate and use the restroom.
There will be a fair amount of waiting on small, shaky platforms between zip lines. You will be secured and the staff is adamant about safety, but space is limited and it is standing room only. I would estimate we waited 10-15 minutes at each platform.
Overall, we had a great experience and would go back for the wonderful...

Read moreMy son and I booked the zip line and tower experience. The guides were extremely friendly and fun. The zip line experience was enjoyable, but the pictures in the ads made it look more tropical. If you are not used to hiking up a hill or climbing 3 flights of stairs, this might not be the zip-line experience for you. We had to hike up a hill twice to get to the racing zip-lines. Racing against my son was super fun. Then we had to climb the tower stairs twice, which was quite exhausting in the heat. The tower experience was overpriced and too crowded. My recommendation would be to separate groups of people 13 years old and above from those groups with young children. The whole group of 12 people began at the same spot and followed the obstacles. My son and I were last in line, so we had to wait for everyone to cross each obstacle. One little 7 year old boy was quite scared and would take a long time to cross.(For 7 years old, I found him to be quite brave, but should not be scheduled in a group of 12 people). My son and I had to wait around 25 minutes to begin the first crossing. Then we had to wait approximately 15 for each subsequent crossing. Standing on the platforms with the sun beating on you and mosquitoes biting you is not very exciting and you stand there thinking about how much the experience costed. This is where the guides’ personalities help because they talk to you while you’re waiting. The photos were also lackluster. Because I went to the Treetop Adventures in Lake Tahoe, CA, I know how fun a zip lining and obstacles can be. The owners should look into it and...
