Amazing island cost $45 per Adult, and $35 per child to get to it. Your on the "island" (technically a penisula) for 180 minutes. The time goes by fast, you have the options to do lots of activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, volleyball, ping pong, glass bottom boat ride. Along with just relaxing in the hammock it chair on the beach, you definitely won't forget your time here but i do wish it was a longer stay. For an extra price you can have them bring Hawaiian style food for your party, the food includes rice, BBQ chicken, ribs, pineapple, fruit, salad, and drinks. We hooked up with a group that was here for they're senior trip and they were nice enough to allow us to grab some of they're grub, even though we brought our own food it was nice they shared. You have to buy your tickets from the kualoa ranch, they offer rides to and from the ranch to the pier. We have our own car so we just decided to drive, make sure they know your driving if you choose so they're not trying to account for you on the bus. Overall we loved it and it was a nice way to spend the last day with my father in town, we'll definitely be going back but probably not until other family members visit....
Read moreCool spot to spend a day, even if your local. There are kama’aina rates, which make the experience worth it. You get to spend a few hours on the “secret island” where you’ll find anything from beach volley ball to paddle boards, kayaks, and even a short boat cruise to check out sea turtles. I’d say it would be the best if you planned on going with a big group, that way you can take full advantage of the activities as a whole. I went with my partner, we just wanted to relax and do things at our pace, which is also possible.
I’d advise to bring all the snacks, drinks, picnic supplies and anything you need to have a good time. Also call in ahead, the workers are chill and will advise you when or when not to come because of certain circumstances like one day might be full of children, another might be a big family reunion. Other than that, not a bad place to spend a morning with the kama’aina rate if...
Read moreGreat beach and less crowded than the popular beaches. January 20th we were here for a half day (3 hours) with less than a dozen people including us. I could see this being less enjoyable in peak season. It felt private and quiet, but I believe they limit to 250 people on the “island”. There are bathrooms, changing rooms, and showers. They have paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, boogie boards, ping pong, connect 4, horse shoes, two volleyball courts, lounge chairs, sheltered picnic tables, a snack bar. The snack bar is the only thing not included in this excursion. They also have two boat tour options. We did both, one is a tour of the nearby reefs on a glass bottomed catamaran where we saw some green sea turtles and the other is a tour around the fish pond where they talk about the history and a few movie...
