It's a nice beach, especially for DoD members who live in the area. Bathroom and wash stations on site. Parking was pleantiful. There's an ITT and MWR on site offering amazing rates on surfboards ($5 an hour) and SUPs ($9 an hour). They also have nice looking cottages on the beach that you can rent but they recommend a pretty lengthy reservation (5-6 months) to get the one you want. Rates run from 105 for 1 bed upwards to 180 for O-6 and above. There are a couple downsides to this beach: 1. there are a ton of surfers...they have a dedicated swimming area that lifeguards monitor so no surfers go into, which is cool. Ut still there were quite a bit so keep a heads up if you navigate outside of the swimming area. 2. Quite a bit of rocks and seaweed once you get about 45 yards offshore...not a huge deal but just something to...

Nice family friendly beach with good beginner waves for boogie boarding and surfing. Clean beautiful water. I like there are designated swim and surf areas, though really seemed like people just mix in both but doesn’t seem to be an issue. The waves crash a little rough on the shore for wading or kids to play/swim, so bring life jackets for little ones. Military recreation runs a rental shack that rents boogie boards and surfboards (for military ID cardholders) - but no other beach equipment like chairs or umbrellas rented at this location so bring your own. Free parking, showers, restrooms, shaded picnic areas and lifeguard on duty. All wonderful....

All the good reviews are true, including the wave-swimming warnings, but no one mentions the great sand. Like different types of snow, there are different sands; some dirty feeling, some like sitting in sugar. At White Plains, the sand is big grained, like billions of tiny, smooth pebbles. It sticks to your skin, but doesn't hold water and brushes off easy, except maybe where body hair is thick. So the result is the smoothest exfoliating sand I've ever felt. My skin felt like polished leather after being there just a few hours, especially my hands. Maybe such sand contributes to the locals' beautiful skin? And there is some wonderful skin...

This is a pretty popular beach for longboard surfers whom bring their boards and those with a Military or Civilian CAC/ID card that can rent surfboards. The beach is beautiful - a little bit short but a great spot to take a quick dip and enjoy the scenery and there are often lots of longboard and Stand Up Paddleboarders (SUP) out on the waves. It is quite enjoyable to watch the experienced surfers ride waves for sometimes close to a minute, especially the SUPs that can propel themselves further. "High Theft Area" signs posted at entrance to beach. Be safe, enjoy the sun, sand and water! Mahalo!

White Plains Beach in Ewa has a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Marvel at the sight of turtles and seals basking in the sun, creating a unique coastal experience. Whether you're a fishing enthusiast or eager to ride the waves, this beach accommodates various interests. Its waves make it an ideal spot for learning to surf, making it not just a destination but a great educational hub for surf enthusiasts. Practical amenities such as restrooms and strategically placed trash cans ensure a clean and enjoyable environment, contributing to the beauty of our island.
