As huge Dickens fans, we were super excited to see "Oliver". While the cast deserves a much higher rating for superb acting/singing, we were disappointed at the immodesty. A couple of costumes were extremely revealing, making it awkward for patrons. We noticed some having to look away and even stare at the floor, particularly during scenes that featured and even focused on the character Nancy. Totally unexpected since this was put on by Jr. Playhouse. This issue, coupled with suggestive humor, were completely unnecessary, as is with so much of the theater/film industry today. Furthermore, this is inconsistent with the works of Dickens, as they were not explicit. Cleaned up, this would be a wonderful production and would appeal to a larger population...
Read moreWe have attended a few of the plays and have enjoyed them very much. We just went to see 1 Man 2 Guvnors and left at intermission. Nothing was funny and could tell that you had people associated with the play in different seats laughing at the sections that we did not see funny. I guess this play was just not our "cup of tea". The music was the saving grace of the whole evening. Excellent talent. We will continue to pick and choose our plays and come back to enjoy. Read moreI went to see the 25th Annual Putnam Spelling bee and was just amazed at the production. The lighting, live band, and amazing cast was just mind blowing. I have never had such a great of an experience in a show. Oakridge Playhouse this was a star show, and I can't wait to see another. I actually bought tickets for two more nights of this show after visiting, and I told everyone I knew to see this amazing cast and show. I hope more shows hold up to this quality, I cannot...
