Yes, Barrios, you have a dedicated fan now! Since my last review, lots has changed about this place and only in a good way! They added an outdoor, dog-friendly patio and a new bar inside. Each time I've come now, that place has been clean and inviting! The service has been great - prompt, attentive, and friendly. But as a taco-loving Texan who now resides in TN, I have to say this is the BEST Mexican food in town. They have the best salsa, margaritas, and everything I've ordered, from tacos to brunch items to green chili has been yummy! While the salsa has been toned down for the 'can't handle the heat' locals - just ask your server for something else with more spice. They will accommodate you. There's some salsa Verde and tomatillo salsa that has a bit more kick and is my go-to! And they have corn tortillas too - you can just ask them to swap them out for the flour if that is your preference. I promise, my partner and I have hit just about every Mexican place in OR - and he even agrees, Barrios is where it's at!

I have never had bad Mexican food, until now. Came in and ordered mahi mahi taco, barbicoa taco, carne asada taco with Mexican corn. The mexican corn was literally the highlight of the meal unfortunately. The steak was edible but the barbicoa and mahi was terrible. Very dry and very plain. Toquitos were very crispy, slightly burnt. Drinks were very mediocre. Our server didn’t bring the queso out for about 30 mins, we had to remind her as she didn’t check on us for those 30 mins. THEN we get to the bill, they tried to upcharge me a $1 for the fish taco. When I brought it up to the waitress she said I can bring it up to the manager, he said yeah it’s a dollar upcharge and she should have told you. He turns to her and asked if she told us and she says no. They took it off but I can’t believe the service. I didn’t even wanna tip but considering we were one of very few tables, I felt very obligated to. The owner was present and aware of the situation. Nothing was apologetic

I went this past Cinco de Mayo (5/5/21) as my first time and studying for finals (hence the pic with my iPad lol) Being from South Florida and having Latinx friends I know good authentic tacos. And this place has them. I ordered 6 tacos: Al pastor, Carne Asada, hot Chicken, Shrimp, Mahi Mahi and Carnitas, also ordered Elote and a margarita. Also came with chips and salsa The tacos were delicious! The warm tortillas and the fillings were abundant. My only negative is I wish the food was a little hotter(temperature wise). The chips were warm and freshly made. Not stale at all. Salsa was good not to soupy or chunky. The ELOTE was to DIE FOR! It was made fresh, the corn was sweet and the Tajin gave it a nice citrusy kick. The margarita was okay. Needed more tequlia but otherwise okay. Even though, it was a holiday food got served quickly. The service was great and the waitresses were awesome. Would I go back? Yes. Would I recommend to a friend? Yes

I don’t ever write reviews because I don’t like complaining, but I felt I needed to this time. I feel kind of bamboozled by the other reviews here. Not sure if we just went on a very, very bad day, or what the difference for us was, but our experience was not a good one, and we will not return. All 4 of our meals were subpar at the very best. My daughters fajitas were pretty bad. The meat was dry, but the veggies were not cooked. I’ve never seen fajitas come on a cast iron that is cold to the touch? She also got no sour cream, pico, cheese, not any of the typical toppings. It was just the meat and veggies and beans and rice. The salsa was meh. Not sure if it’s made fresh in house? Didn’t taste to be. Also, we came because I really wanted birria tacos. It doesn’t come with consommé like typical birria tacos do, it came with a plain broth. Why? The consommé is practically what makes the dish. Everything was so bland and boring. The servers spent a large majority of time chatting in the entry, which I really don’t care about if people are still receiving service, but we weren’t. We got one small salsa for our table of 4 and never received more, took until the end of our meal to get more water (we had been out before our meals arrived), and we were charged more than what the menu stated. They weren’t busy either, so that’s not the reason. There were 3 tables of people in the whole place, our party of 4 being the most. Again, I don’t like complaining, but the whole experience was pretty rough. I’m just hoping to bring some honestly to...

i met my friends for lunch today. the food was tasty, the atmosphere so-so, music too loud, toilet paper unavailable in the ladies restroom. as we were leaving, i was remarking to my friend that the restaurant was not set up for people who have difficulty walking. and then, boom, our other friend fell down the two steps between the dining rooms. so here she was, a 70 yr old woman laying on the hard tile floor. the one employee in the room did nothing. he didn't come over to see how she was, he didn't offer any help at all. AT ALL. nothing. we were trying to see about our friend, still on the floor. and after we spoke to him, he sauntered over. we asked for a baggie of ice for the large knot that was coming up on her forehead and napkins for put on her bleeding cut. he came back with those things but again didn't ask us if we needed help. i asked my friend if she needed an ambulance and she said no, but it still took several minutes for her to be able to get off the floor, then sit on a chair, and get her bearings to be able to leave. the one employee did nothing. NOTHING. word of caution. enter there at...

When we arrived there were maybe 2 other tables. There were 2 staff working that I saw. Not a smile or greeting to be had. We were told to seat ourselves. We ordered fajitas and an aquachile. Our fajitas finally arrived after about 30-40 minutes. Our aquachile never came. The server couldn't have cared less. Never once did he check on it or update us. At 45 or so minutes we asked for the check and our aquachile to go. The only prompt thing he did was give us our check. After about 10 more minutes I asked when our food was going to be ready. He replied that he didn't charge us for it and we would not be getting it. When we left the restaurant was almost full. One newly seated table got up and left after waiting so long with no service. We were charged $9 for a virgin strawberry daiquiri. So our fajita was the same average fajita that you would get an any mexican restaurant. The cheese dip was good. The service was horrendous. I do not understand what the problem was or why they were so unconcerned. What a totally miserable...
