Bridalveil Fall — Attraction in Oakhurst

Yeah, winter/spring 2017 has been kind to the Sierras (not so kind to dams) and we came at the right time. Falls were raging crazy. Lots of other people had the same idea so we were waiting a bit. This is a super short hike. Falls are amazing. You can get right up as close as you dare. This is by far the coolest thing in Yosemite. Accessible by a 5 min walk on a paved path, you arrive at a viewing deck, but if you are feeling adventurous you can climb up much further on the rocks, which I would personally highly recommend as long as you are in good shape and not scared of heights, it’s not a very hard climb up and you can go as high as you feel...

Very easy hike to get to from parking lot. Less than 8 mins walk see the bottom of the fall. If you want to get close and personal then climb the boulders to actually breathe the mist and bath in the basins. You can actually see the "veil" too. Boulders surfaces are either very smooth and damp from the mist so do climb safely.
