Read moreThis place is fantastic. I left my car here and hung out at the beach and picnic tables here two days in a row. The beach isn't crowded, the view of El Cap is great The parking lot is shaded but BUMPY. if your car is lowered, or sporty, you might bottom out! my sedan was fine going slow. There are almost always spots here and you can take the shuttle to the happy isles trailhead and yosemite village. Then you can take the shuttle back here and swim / eat. This place is amazing to escape the crowded feeling in the rest of the valley.
