We had our wedding at the Camron-Stanford House and it was incredible. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our guests had an amazing time, and the house is truly stunning. The garden/porch overlooks Lake Merritt and is really beautiful.

Read moreI visited the Camron-Stanford House in October 2015. There was an exhibition on death in Victorian times. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only criticism would be that as a visitor to the area, I was more interested in the history of the house and its inhabitants. I can understand that these special exhibitions are a way of drawing in local residents, but as a tourist, I was disappointed that there was not more about the house and the family. A lady had a baby in the 1880s a baby die. Back then there wasn't much babies dying, it was a rear occasion. With no where to have a formal funeral baby was mark for burial in the victorian house.
