To me, reviews are an essential part of determining if I will or will not consider renting at any facility. Pictures, brochures and videos are all helpful but they put the best angles and views to sell the apartment. Too often I have wanted to run to get an apartment from the photos but when I got there it was a different story: Poorly maintained lawns, broken screens, very poor curb appeal. I’m no longer taken in by internet or photos, I go to the reviews first. So this is my review of Carrington Lane.
What you see is what you get and more. The curb appeal is pleasing to the eye, the maintenance crew do a magnificent job and respond quickly to any need, the buildings are all in tip top shape and very recently renovated, the huge oak trees give you a feeling of being up north and yet the palm trees remind you that this is beautiful Florida. Whatever you need is rarely more than an 8 minute drive to such places as the mall, theaters, Home Depot, all sorts of restaurants and shopping. Should you need any medical care there are Urgent Care Facilities, a hospital and yes for Veterans a nearby large clinic. The downtown area is special to walk through, view the old but never abandoned building and store fronts, the park and so much more. You will never be bored. If you enjoy horses, tour the many horse ranches and mansions on a scenic drive. There is plenty to do in Ocala.
I left the best to last. You can have nice buildings and grounds, pretty trees and amenities but if you don’t feel it’s home, it’s not anything. Here is where Caitlin, Rebecca and Lindsay come in. They are the three women who make Carrington Lane not merely a house to live in but a home to enjoy, have fun and be proud to say: I live at Carrington. A lot of apartments offer something special at Christmas, Easter and other major holidays. Carrington Lane does that too but so much more. They are like thinking 24/7, how can we make our residents involved, happy and yet not be intrusive. They do it. There are so many things to do if you wish, or if you simply want to remain closer to home and your lovely screened in patio, that’s fine too. You do what you want to do. However, no one can say the staff is uncaring or not helpful, they go far beyond the call to assist you and always with a smile.
This is a long review, but before closing why not go to Face Book and check out the 200 plus photos of the many activities Lindsay, Rebecca and Caitlin put on for your enjoyment from Coffee Day, Free Lunch Day, Dress up and Dress down day, Blood Drive Day, Pizza Day, Donut Day, Brewery Day, Fashion Day and so much more. They do all of this in addition to their responsibilities in the office. I hope you found this review somewhat helpful. I don’t work for Carrington Lane, I don’t have stocks in the facility, I just know a good thing when I see it, and indeed Carrington Lane is...
Read moreI moved in in 2019 with the advertised price at 950 for a 2 bedroom. (As of 2022 it was 1550/mo) Not only did they sly talk my rent to 1050 (before additional monthly fee for pets), The guest bedroom was barely a den because anything larger than a twin will block the room door or patio door. Each year rent has gone up 250/mo, when I asked why they told me "to remain compettitive In he area". Which there are WAY nicer places to rent for the price. In my two year stay, I had two fire hazards, the a/c which was above the water heater dripped into the thermostat and caught fire. The other was my disposal the very first time i tried to use it, My a/c was always breaking and whenever I did ask for maintenence, they bandaid the issue, say they fixed it, and do nothing at all (Also note on two seperate occasions maintenence let themselves I. While I was walking out of the shower screaming not yet or hold on a sec,but walked right in anyway),like the bug problem they have had since the old management, I don't just mean sink Flys either, wasps kept getting in my apt. And stinging my cat. Outside there is a new, rim bending, pot hole In the parking lot every day, you don't get a spot with your apt. Mainly because there aren't enough spots, the rely on exploiting people looking for apt. Near schools or hospitals, and the shift rotations. As for management, when I fist moved in, Lindsey the property manager gave me a list of other residents that included names, Apts, And what they pay, I don't know why, I deffinitley don't think I should have access to it though. But besides the apparent greed, and unorganzation in that office, they some how find the budget for nice little catering events for the office (wine and cheese day(7/5/21)taco tuesday, or they just order food trucks to sit out front usually around d 2-4 because no one works or commutes around that time. ( very convenient for the office staff though) In summery dirty, overpriced, poorly constructed, not maintained well, and managed by slime who talk at you like you're incapale of understanding basic intuition. Absolutely disgusting excuse of...
Read moreI currently live in Carrington Lane with my wife and two small children. In my opinion this is the best apartment complex in Ocala. It is located very close to many grocery store choices (Publix, Aldi, Earth Fare, Target, two 24/7 Walmarts, etc). Super close to two major hospitals (Ocala Regional and Monroe Regional). The staff are some of the most helpful and polite people I've ever met. They always handle requests in a timely manner. The maintenance staff is the best I’ve experienced (Jayson and everyone else). The grounds are kept clean and are constantly being maintained and upgraded. Any repairs were always done in a timely and professional manner. They are super friendly, and anytime there is any kind of issue they are there to help. Management does a great job of creating events to bring the community together and fostering an enjoyable living environment (Rebecca, Lindsay and Alana are simply awesome). Pool parties, or some other activity almost every month for the residents to get together. The playground is great for younger kids, and the pool is beautiful and always well cared for. The community is super family friendly, peaceful, and clean. We also greatly enjoy how many green areas with mature trees there are inside the community; but you have to see it to understand. Words don't do it justice. We also love how pet friendly they are. If you have big dogs like we do, you'll fit right in. The community also has a dog park, and throughout the community you'll find numerous clean up bag and waste stations. They even have treats for the dogs at the office! There's some much more; but this review is already very long. If you are looking to rent in Ocala you HAVE to look at...
