While the event was organized, the parking was far from that. I stopped to ask the young man directing the traffic where I could park, and he motioned me to a far-off parking area. I then asked him if there was a Handicap Parking area as I was displaying my handicap permit, and his response was NOOO! He said there would be golf carts coming by to shuttle attendees. Unfortunately for me, I am 62 years old and suffer from asthma and a heart condition. The heat was brutal, as was the trek to the entrance, and no one in a golf cart around. The few times I saw them, they were at capacity. Maybe they didn't have enough golf carts? All I know is I was forced to walk a very long way in the high heat only to stand in an enormously long line in the heat as well. On our way to the entrance, I saw an open field that drivers were being directed to, that was much much much nearer than where I parked and could not understand why we weren't directed there instead. When we left, I thought I might see a sign with an area to wait and be picked up by a golf cart so I wouldn't have to do that long walk again, but there wasn't. Finally, I flagged down an empty golf cart in the last leg of our journey back to our car. I spoke with the driver of the golf cart, and I asked him why they didn't offer a handicap parking area, and he said they absolutely did, and I was misinformed! So, my personal experience, the event itself, was nice and well organized, with many different vendors and awesome cosplayers. However, the parking situation was chaotic, unorganized, and a complete EPIC FAIL!!! I knew I'd have to do some walking and stand in line. However, I didn't think I'd have to walk a "Blue Country Mile" (especially given my health situation and my handicap status) to get to and from the event. Side note: I really didn't see any accommodations for the disabled. That's not to say that there weren't any, but I didn't see any. In conclusion, it is because of the parking debacle that I only gave this a 3 star review in my...
