Ralph’s Burger & Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Florida

Over priced! You can get a better burger from Wendy’s. It unfortunate I had high hopes for this place. Seriously the burger was at very best average fast food for the price of gourmet.

In response to managements post asking for specific details on my experience: Hamburger meat had a gray shade to it, not very appealing with a fast food taste. My sons child’s burger meal was under cooked. My burger order was wrong. They left the bacon off, and it had nearly no toppings. The fries were cold. They prepared the fries prior to the burgers being ready and they were allowed to get cold while waiting on the burgers to cook. When I went back in to ask them to add the bacon to my burger I noticed a cook behind the counter was eating on the food line. She then went to handle my burger without washing her hands. Last but my least, the staff seemed very unfriendly. Very little communication on what to do after the order has been taken, do you sit and they bring the food out or do you wait for them to call your name or number? None of that was addressed after the transaction. We were seated outside. I had to stand in the lobby at the counter waiting on my food while my family were seated outside. Food was very good- ribs were excellent and burgers were juicy and tasty. Sadly the service was abominable. This was our 1st visit, so I asked one of the 5 employees standing behind the counter if we ordered at the counter or at the table. The person I addressed looked at me and then turned around and walked away. I asked a second person, and she RUDELY stated that you could order at the counter. While we were enjoying our food, 4 other guests walked in at 7:15. They were told the restaurant was closed. They questioned that because it clearly states on the door that closing is 8pm . The server responded flatly, "We're closed. " Ten minutes later 6 more guests arrived and were also told the restaurant was closed. They stood there for a second and the help went on to explain that they were not busy enough to stay open. The guests mentioned the website stated closing is listed as 8pm. The server said that they were closed because it is the off season and the hours were on the door. As we exited, we noted the signs on the door said 11am-8pm. I just visited Ralph’s two days ago and ordered two sandwiches with fries and drinks for $30. I came back today because I was truly impressed with our meal and ordered two sandwiches again totaling $27. When the food was brought to our table we only received the sandwiches (no fries). When asked, I was advised the menu changed and sandwiches no longer come with fries, nor chips, nor fruit. So yes, I paid $27 for a chicken sandwich, a cheeseburger and two small fountain drinks!
