sorry for the long post :(. I want to say this is very sad to post but TRUE. I started going to Red Persimmon over 3 years ago just from a gift certificate given to me. And this is when I met Kathy. OMG she was amazing. She listened and she was great in the respect that I wanted to maintain my own natural nails. She was my person. Once she shared news of her departure I was so so sad. She told me that Brenda would take care of me and she would share with her my likes.....
I was skeptical because again these are my natural nails. Not every salon embrace this practice and respect it. But they did. Brenda came in a truly did her best. We developed our own relationship and I even brought my two daughters here and had them get their nails done. It was truly a family experience.
When Brenda shared her wedding and honeymoon plans I was again happy for her and sad for me. :) She said Leo would be able to handle the one appt. I would miss with her in her absence. I ALWAYS make my appts. In advance ALWAYS, and always KEEP them. I made my appt. for February 1st @ 4pm. I get a call the same day about 1ish asking if I could come in at 4:30 pm so that Leo could accommodate another client. I was off put but I said ok. I get to the nail salon at 4:16 pm not greeted, no apologies for having me wait. Because he did not start my nails until 4:50 pm.
My appts. Usually last about 2 hours when I get a new overlay. Which was in this visit. When all said and done Leo stated my charge was $65. Gasp in disbelief. I have NEVER EVER paid Brenda of Kathy $65 for anything I have ever gotten. Remind you I get an Overlay $27, Leo said he charge me $45 for a full set??? I don't do long nails EVER. Leslie said oh well we have to charge you $15 for gel and long nails..... LIES. And I toned my design down specifically for this visit. And I tipped him cash $$$ even leaving upset. He said he would contact Brenda and make the adjustment.
But, I called this morning to follow up only to be met with lies and lies from Leslie. Who told me it took him 3 hours to do my nails and all this other Bullshi* that made no sense but just enraged me. These people know me. I have been consistent in my appts. I told her thanks to your behavior and lies I will no longer be back. You just lost Benda a good client. Even my daughters was surprised as they are with me at appts. So we will unfortunately have to find another place to go. I'm so upset that this is what it's come down too.
I will be contacting my bank regarding this charge. I will pay for what is right. But, I won't pay for imaginary work that was not performed. Red Persimmon you should be ashamed but the sad part is I don't think Leslie or Leo care as to what...
Read moreIf I could give this a no star I would. Had the worst experience ever here with Leslie. I had gotten them in the past with her a couple times which the first time I loved them. Second time they were cute but she literally glued my eyes together. That time she was panicking. She was forced to cut a lot off but I understood people can make mistakes. This third time was it for me. I’m done getting my lashes done with Leslie. DON’T. She is careless. Yesterday was it for me. I tried explaining exactly what I wanted which she proceeded to say “yes I know I know.” It was all such an unpleasant experience that quickly became overwhelming. During the process of getting my lashes done she had another employee in there with her chatting away SUPER loud over my face THE ENTIRE TIME. The talked loud, they laughed almost as if they had forgotten I was there. As if this wasn’t enough, Leslie then used me as a personal table to set her lash tools on! Leslie apparently proceeded to apply 11, 12, 13 and 14 size lashes on when I’ve made it CLEAR I wanted 9, 10 and at the very end 11. Short & Natural is what I like. In my line of work I work with clients on a daily so the natural look is what I go for. I also don’t wear makeup so again natural is what I go for. Once Leslie was done she placed the fan laying on the side of my ear while she cleaned up which I then grabbed the fan telling her it’s ok I can hold it. Just beyond unprofessional. Absolutely careless. I couldn’t believe it. When I asked to see the mirror I was shocked at what I saw!!! This is faaaaaar from what I asked for. There’s no way. She mentioned to me “you have long natural lashes so I didn’t want to go short. The picture you showed me I didn’t decide to follow because you need long.” …………….Like what. I thought to myself, why wouldn’t you explain anything to me prior to applying XL lashes on me. Atleast at that point I would be able to better decide. I again explained to her why I asked for the size I asked for. Why I go for the short natural. Her overall response was “if they bother you in a couple days you just cut them.” Again, the worst experience ever with Leslie. I do...
Read moreI called for an appointment and was told to come right in. Got there in 8 minutes, everyone was busy. I waited and then was put in water to soak...for 30 minutes! I started to get up to leave and was begged to stay 5 minutes more. I waited 10... finally my pedicure started. It wasn't terrible, but the girl just went through the motions. No real attention. She did notice that others had spilt wax on the floor so she got up to clean it up. She used my nail file to scrape up the wax, got out the broom and dust pan. When she returned to my service I was very glad she threw away the file and changed her gloves--so weird though. My $30 pedi lasted 30 minutes not counting my 40 min soak. I will not go back and don't believe they care about repeat business. They get 2 stars because the place did not reek of...
