NO PLATINUM OR TITANIUM BENEFITS (none)||There's no water in the room, not even for Titanium members. The coffee is made in this junky little single service coffee machine. Terrible it doesn't even heat up.||NOT EVEN ADVANCED INTERNET PERKS b/c the internet doesn't work.||||NOT CLOSE TO THE PARKS||It's a very far distance from Legoland, Seaward, the zoo, and even from the animal kingdom||||NOT GOOD FOR FAMILIES ||Room size is smaller than a room in NYC. Maybe 100 square feet but they've squeezed in as much furniture as can possibly fit. If you want to get into the bed on the side not near the room door, you have to crab walk in. ||The pool hours aren't monitored because they don't have security. ||People were in the pool swimming and laughing and yelling up until 1130pm and starting at 600am. So, if you have a window to the pool, don't plan to get much sleep.||||Because it's close to the military base, I think it's an attractive hotel for "working" women. I witnessed three instances where very perfumed very made up, big fake eyelashes and sexy attire type women would enter the back door and leave. The room rates are cheap enough where the men can simply write off the $100/night along w/ the cost of paying for sexual acts. ||||UNCLEAN / UNSANITARY||there is blood on the wall that separates the toilet from the sink||Mold and mildew along where the glass and shower meet so much that it's mostly grey but you can tell it's just recently been caulked to try to cover the mold/mildew. The bed cover was stained and dirty||There was mildew in the creases of the mini fridge which can't hold more than 2 small waters. ||||I had dinner at a booth in the Bistro (lobby restaurant), the tables were filthy in the booths, and the lobby area was empty, I can't see a reason why they would have dirty tables.||||The windows and glass all over the room including mirrors has been wiped down by an oily towel or something because you can see the streaks all over. ||||The toilet ring isn't properly placed because there is a terrible poop smell that seeps out of the bathroom. ||||Bad smell when you use the thermostat/ AC system. The filters have not been checked, I looked at the dates. They're more than one year old. ||||The filters in the ice machine in lobby and second floor both have the indicator line on that says "change filter" and after using their ice, I got a stomach infirmity. I had the runs until I stopped drinking their water.||||There was so much trash in the parking lot. I saw it at check in and it was still there 4 days later. ||||NOT GOOD FOR WORKING PEOPLE||Internet is hit or miss. mostly miss. I ended up using my cell phone internet because most of the time the internet went downThe TV didn't work unless I watched from the couch. It's meant to slide out on a shelf and you're meant to turn it to see on the bed, but that's a massive failure.||||||STAFF NEEDS TRAINING ||Erika at the front desk is rude, unfriendly, and outright disdainful. She really hates her job. ||Maria was just as rude and lazy behaving.||When you're at the front desk, you can see that there's a mess behind the counter. open faced boxes are strewn about EVERYWHERE||||||NOT GOOD FOR DINING ||Bistro Dining Experience: Very Poor||||The Bistro was closed, they said it was because the staff called off. ||I had dinner there the second night and burned my mouth on their soup. It was SCALDING hot. No warning given. The sandwich had no taste... but what can you expect from a hotel lobby Bistro? Well... for $20, hopefully flavor and not a scalded tongue.||||||UNCOMFORTABLE||Temperature controls are not consistent, I kept having to raise and lower the temperature because the old school ancient AC unit would not work, until it did and then I would get cooked or frozen. ||||Even though there's a pull out sofa, there aren't any extra sheets or bedding in the rooms. This makes it hard to set the appropriate sleep temperature because I"d rather have cooler than hot. At least you can add blankets, well, if they had extra. ||||POOR QUALITY/ NOT MARRIOTT ||The towels are old. .||The rooms are loud, you can hear everything in the halls, outside, and even the opening and closing of doors can be heard. ||Shampoo and Conditioner are standard courtyard (not the nice eucalyptus kind) the 39*... ||There is no lotion in the room, they didn't even...
Read morehonestly, i have no idea where to even begin with this place. lets start at the fact my boyfriend and I had done about 7 and a half hour drive non stop to get here. i booked through my bonvoy app with my associate discount, yet the price seemed more than it should've been. However i was TOTALLY okay with have to pay more (i had never been to California and just accepted things are more expensive) YET when we go to check in the lady at the front desk is kind enough to tell me "since you're an associate you shouldn't have to pay this much let me see if i can adjust your rate." i say thank you for the help and we appreciate it but were exhausted and would like to go up to our room. she says she understands and would try to fix it in the morning. so come morning and we go down to the front desk to find out about our rate. BUT there is a different person of course because its a different shift time. So when i explain to him what the lady said to me at check in last night, the guy at the front desk sees we are from Tucson and is so kind about figuring out how to try to help us. He then comes out from the the back office with who i assume is the front desk manager. May i say she had the absolute WORST attitude when she walked up to us, when i try to explain to her the same thing i just explained this guy, the same thing the lady at the front desk explained to me at check in. the front desk manger(i assume) she then looks up my name and becomes frustrated with me saying "well you booked under family and friends. then right after she says that before I CAN EVEN GET A WORD OUT she says "you booked under family and friends no one changed your rate so" then she just stares at me. i try to say "well i wasn't accusing anyone i was just explaining what was.." she cuts me off saying "well that's what you booked under and no one changed it is there anything else?" Honestly i was just so taken back by her attitude that i just said no and went back upstairs to our room and cried because I COULD NOT understand how someone could be so rude about a this type situation. Especially since i was so kind to her to have gotten that kind of response out of her made me see that i will never book here again. Also after looking at the reviews? I realize wow I am not the only one to have a bad or rude altercation with her. with that many BAD reviews ? i don't see how she's still working there she's clearly making the front desk a horrible experience for anyone who meets her. However I'm disappointed i was too exhausted to get the first front desk ladies name because she was a joy to talk to. I am also let down that the second front desk lady made me so uncomfortable i didnt ask the guy at the front desk his name either because he was truly so kind for trying his best to help the situation and try to joke around with us. but that last lady i met? she made me realize why i...
Read moreOne star for service at the front desk. I'm here for a soccer tournament with my 13 year old daughter and her team and at least two other teams are here bc the soccer complex is across the street. When I arrived I had to sign a piece of paper that stated all these rules, like do not let the girls out walking by themselves, etc and if we break the rules, we could be removed from the property. They are 13 years old. There is no breakfast offered and no microwaves in the hotel rooms. There is a little starbucks/bistro type place, with obviously overpriced items (the servie there was wonderful, however). But if you are across the street from a soccer complex it's nice to have options available to feed children. Also, our two middle school teams did skits tonight. A Saturday night, at 7:30pm. Two groups did their skits by the pool. Two did them in the gym. No one is in the gym. We all fit in. The group did their skits and ended with fun music.... Think Usher. And they were asking the adults to come up and dance. To which a few adults did, because it's fun, and we want to encourage fun behavior. A dad came in at 7:58pm and said there was a NOISE COMPLAINT. From Who? There are no rooms around there? From the front desk? Probably....... Finally, at least three other families were granted late check outs. I called the night bf we checked out and asked for 30 minutes for a late check out, just to guarantee my daughter and I had enough time to shower after her 8:15am game across the street. I'm sure we'd be okay, but the lady at the desk said....."No. There are no late check outs granted for tomorrow." To which I replied, "well that's funny bc friends in my group have late check outs for tomorrow." Her reply, "Well, I didn't give any one late check outs for tomorrow. I didn't give anyone late check outs because....." I said Thank You and hung up. I asked for 30 minutes. My friends got 45 and 60 minutes. I just wanted the cushion. Another family said the same thing happened to them tonight. I'm a small business owner myself. I appreciate not having the ability to Grant me the late check out. It's not guaranteed and I understand that. But to lie to me and say No one gets late check out, or to not check my room in your computer and see if someone is checking in on a Sunday, and then to double down and keep talking to me like that. Nope. Not Okay. You...
