Beautiful church, been coming here every Saturday for the 5pm mass since they opened a couple of years ago. We love the fact that the church is so spacious that you can pick a secluded spot and focus on the mass without feeling cramped. A few months back they roped off the side seating of the main altar in order the get parishioners to sit in main entrance facing the altar, that was okay since the church is so large we are still able to find a nice spot and focus on God. Today as we walked into church come to find out some wise person made the decision to rope off the entire back half of the church and pack everyone into the front half seating area basically packing us like sardines. I did share my frustration with a couple of ushers but to no avail I was told decision came from higher ups and that is the way it will be moving forward on the Saturday mass. Thats when we decided to leave without attending the mass and went to Saint James where we felt more welcomed. I hated having to leave but plenty of other choices out there that respect the parishioners' feelings and put praying front and center instead of focusing on placing red ropes and not caring about our...
Read moreunfortunately, my recent visit to this place was far from enjoyable!!!!!! The atmosphere was marred by the unwelcoming demeanor of the staff, who seemed disinterested in providing even basic customer service. Our waiter displayed a lack of attentiveness, taking our order incorrectly and later delivering a completely different meal than what we had requested. The situation became increasingly frustrating as we waited for our correct order. With a one-year-old in tow, the delay was particularly challenging. After what felt like an eternity, the waiter returned to ask us to repeat our order, which had already been taken incorrectly. Despite our patience, we found ourselves still waiting for our food long after we should have been served. In a last-ditch effort to address our concerns, I spoke with the manager, who unfortunately did not seem to care about our experience. His response was simply that we needed to wait, leaving us feeling ignored and undervalued as customers. Ultimately, I had to request our order to go, as my child was becoming increasingly restless. This experience has left me with no desire to return to this restaurant...
Read moreI visited on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend around 10A. Parking was easy and surprisingly available. Tepeyac Hill with statues of Our Lady of Guadalupe and San Juan Diego was very moving, hearing songs and prayers from others. Everyone was very respectful to the site and each other. The big outside plaza has some seating, but no shade. Great place to gather. The shrine to Stanley Roth was informative and offered in Spanish and English. I did go into the main chapel, but as a service was happening, I didn’t stay long enough to really appreciate the craftsmanship; still, it was gorgeous and I hope to return. The only potential negative was the bottleneck of the gift shop; lots of people in a little space; however, with that said, the staff were polite, efficient, and helpful. Regardless of your religious beliefs, Stanley Roth was a man to know and emulate, and this dedication to him and his service is...
