Two weeks ago, my window got busted out and all my belongings were stolen out of my car. Tonight, the bartender yelled at me because I was rolling up my medicinal marijuana to go smoke outside as I always did. I informed her that I was going to smoke outside and that I was just preparing it. She still yelled and threatened to kick me out if I didn't put it away immediately. I calmy packed up my stuff and told the owner, Linnie, I was leaving. I told her it's not illegal to roll or smoke in public places. She stated that it is illegal in her bar to roll it or even have it in her bar. There is no sign posted on the door or anywhere saying you can't smoke marijuana. I feel totally discriminated against because I have ailments that require me to take medicine. I dont know if it's because I'm a smoker or if it's because I'm black. Which reminds me, one of the waitresses kept calling me by another black person's name. I corrected her after the 3rd time I was there. She was such in shock and really thought I was my friend, Vic. I'm also informing my neighbors about my experience via our...
Read moreI recently visited Corner Pocket and had a mixed experience. While the atmosphere for playing pool was enjoyable, the customer service left much to be desired.
Upon entering, we were immediately asked for our IDs. While I understand this is standard procedure, the way it was handled felt abrupt and unwelcoming. After ordering drinks and starting our game, the bartender yelled at us for placing our drinks near the pool table. I recognize that it may not be the best spot for drinks, but her approach was unnecessarily rude.
Overall, the experience could have been much better with a more courteous and friendly staff. I suggest retraining the team on customer service to ensure all patrons feel welcome...
Read moreIf you love the smell of 10,000 cigarettes slamming you in the face simultaneously, this is the place for you. If you like feeling alienated because you didn't drop out of school to buy leather jackets, sell drugs, and ride motorcycles, again this is the place for you. If you're anyone else, you should probably just go somewhere a little nicer than this.
Beer wasn't overpriced though. That's about the only positive...
