This place is a culinary, body care, and home-grown Omaha must-see. Amazingly delicious products. Some highlights: mustard (honey mustard is so good, all I need is a spoon to consume...), jam ("just peachy" and strawberry rhubarb are life changingly scrumptious), as good as gold raw local honey, creamed honey (strawberry, chocolate, blueberry, lavender...), salsa (favorite is peach!), and more. I'm normally a pickier eater, but seriously, everything I've tried here I've enjoyed. Their cook(s) is a(are) culinary wizards. AND the body products are phenomenal. The body lotions, lip balms, massage oil--everything--man, again, everything is exceptional. No wonder they are a family business that's been a success for 15 or so years! Crazy, crazy good. Annnnd to make everything even more spectacular--google the benefits of local honey, beeswax, and propolis. I was amazed at how beneficial all these things are to humans--AND--bee products are in every edible product and body care product! Soooooo--check it out. Lots of testers and...
Read moreI love this shop. It's cutely decorated and neatly organized; small enough that you're not going to get lost in the shelves, yet with a huge variety. Not to mention that the staff are all super friendly and awesome.
I've been going here for years, stopping in every few months to stock up on old favorites and check out what's new.
There are dozens of different flavors of honey in several different textures (mostly raw or creamed, but a few traditionally heated and processed liquid ones, too).
Then there are all the jams, syrups, "butters," teas, and a variety of other bee products, both edible and not.
The decorative tea sets and beeswax candles are all SO cute. I haven't committed to a tea set yet (I don't drink enough to justify it), but I love my decorative candles and the non-decorative one burns well (MUCH slower to melt than the tea lights I had previously used).
The staff usually have a tasty tea sample hot and ready when you stop in, and they are more than glad to let you taste any honey variety...
Read moreThis place is a health code violation waiting to happen. They have a meat grinder in the “kitchen” that’s constantly leaking raw honey all over the floor underneath the MEAT GRINDER. Kitchen for looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. Not to mention the build up of crap caked all over the stoves. The owner is a real pice of trash. She treats employees with the upmost disrespect I’ve ever heard in my life. If you talk to “HR” about it, she will literally text the owner as you’re talking to her about said issues. Only for the owner to come and grill you about why you went a talked to “HR”. Needless to say they lost all the kitchen help that they had. Everyone walked out with the exception of 3 maybe 4 employees. I will be sending the health department a who ever else that needs to go see that disgusting 🤢 kitchen. So many heath code violations. The ONLY person that has any sense in that place...
