My wife and I visited Free State for the first time today with expectations of your run of the mill, super sweet, no body, Texas wine. We were pleasantly surprised. Blown away in fact that a place like this isn't talked about more. We have some of the best wines that Fredericksburg to Sonoma has to offer and I can say that some of their stuff (Rio) is in the same rarefied air. A great atmosphere and very friendly staff to boot. We can't wait to visit again. P.S I hope you guys can become available in local restaurants (J. Wilson's) and retailers.

Very good atmosphere, nice to go with family, friends or couple!. The attention is very good!. The drinks are excellent although there is quite a variety so it takes time or several visits to try everything. It is quite large for parking. It has only one unisex bathroom My only suggestion, they should consider having non-alcoholic drinks for young children but not the typical soda. Maybe non-alcoholic pila colada and those kind of refreshing drinks How to make teenagers feel integrated with the family.

Amazing time - it's a quiet area with outdoor seating. You can walk through the vineyard or just sit around and enjoy different wines made right here in Orange. Everyone was super pleasant, there were SO many options too. They offer small sips to taste before you commit to purchasing and they also have small snack/finger foods to compliment the drinks. Definitely recommend checking out Free State - they even got me to sign up for their wine club!

I decided to try Free State Cellars on my daughter and her boyfriend's experience. I arrived and found it immediately inviting. Casual comfortable and yet elegant in an easy way, if you will... The owner staff are family and obviously and rightfully proud of the product and service. They were very helpful, open and friendly welcoming. The wine tasting was informative, and had a very nice selection. I sat out side with a pina colada sangria with a fan blowing, people watching in front of the vineyard. I had a perfect experience and had no one to visit with but the staff. I will definately make this a routine stop and shopping experience. As a newer resident of Orange I will support this establishment and recommend it as often as I get the...

We had an awesome experience on a Saturday night here. I highly recommend doing a tasting of the wines to find what best suits your pallet, then ordering a bottle to sip on and relax in the very open & laid back area. The charcuterie boards are also top notch. Owners are very welcoming and responsive to help you have the best experience possible. Be sure to make a trip out or stop by when passing through -- its worth it just to pop in for a bottle of local wine to take with you wherever you...
