Wabasso Beach — Attraction in Orchid Island

Great local beach. Even in season, it rarely gets ridiculously busy, but the small parking lot helps keep the crowds to a minimum. Next door to Disney's Vero Beach Resort, where you can go for a drink or a bite (but you will need to drive-- the resort isn't accessible to beachgoers if you don't have a card key).

No complaints at all about this beach! You can always find little shark's teeth here, I found some things that I don't even know what they are but at least two of them are for sure some kind of fossils. There's a little convenience- store for food or drinks or they have sunblock if you forgot it and other beach stuff as well. There's also a pizza shop right there as well. Beach is great but beware of the bugs/flees etc. Am not sure what those pests are called they are practically invisible and leaves an unfortable extremely itchy, annoying and a burning sensation throughout. We were there last weekend and still suffering, this review is to raise awareness specially if you are accompanied by children, in case it helps anyone like us who were totally unprepared.
