I must agree with the other review, that the grounds were gorgeous but the service was far from matching. I too had a cold employee helping me, and it was only 2:30 pm on a Saturday, far from closing time. I arrived with 3 others with the intention of purchasing a bottle and sitting outside to enjoy the view. I asked about the Riesling and rose, two wines I enjoy if they are the drier side, and was informed they both were quite dry. I let the wine stewardess know that I'd like to purchase a bottle but would like to try the Riesling before committing, and was given a not so pleasant look which was followed up with

So glad we chose this place as my first vineyard experience as it was a truly fun afternoon . I reserved a week in advance because post Covid weekends can be a very risky business , especially with everyone out and about during the summers , its fairly hard to get a seat on the spot without having to wait for a long time .The online reservation was easy and I mailed them a day and time that I was hoping to come in and they reserved and sent me a conformation of the same. Its a great place to start if you want to explore Oregon`s wine country without having to go too far from the city . We got the seats on their outdoor patio in the shade and even though it was a hot sunny afternoon , the heat wasn't much in the patio . There were a couple seats in the open with umbrellas put in and those looked like great spots too. They have an indoor tasting room as well which was really pleasant and spacious . The views are stunning , there are vines as far as the eyes can see and rolling hills all along the horizon . The staff was fantastic and answered all our questions very proficiently . Loved how chatty yet informative she was about the wines and talked with a lot of passion when we asked her about the wine making process .The tasting menu is reasonably priced and that's what we tried that afternoon .They have four different wines and a fifth one of your choice or their choice . ,depending on your preference . I am definitely going back as this gorgeous place ,really needs to be...

8 year wine club members. Really great wine, was one of the hidden gems of the WV. Before the tasting house was built, we used to love visiting and enjoying a picnic either just outside or at a table over under the trees near the sheep. Always got love from the lab and cat and people used to even bring their own dogs too. As with all things that start to get popular (see 90+ point ratings on recent vintages) it was too good to last. New tasting house built across the property, now no pets or kids allowed, smaller pours, and a more corporate (might even say snooty) feel. Sigh. Everything we loved about this place is now lost to antiquity. We are members at other places in the WV and yes they do have that similar snooty feel, but we knew that going in....just hard to see this one evolve into that over time. Ah well, good news is that one can still buy the Reservata at local organic/boutique grocers, often at a lower price than the vineyard itself. So long Alloro, it's been...

Had the best time at Alloro this weekend! The Chef’s Tasting here was AMAZING, the food, ambience, service, wow! I am always on the lookout for wineries that offer not just wine tastings but good food too, and this place knocked it out of the park. Everything was seasonal, farm-fresh, well executed and delicious. Still dreaming about the incredible Lamb Papparadelle pasta and that focaccia bread! The wine pairings heightened both the food and the wine experience. Highly highly recommend. Kudos to Chef Chris Smith (word on the street is he came from Allison Inn’s JORY) and our server Dylan who made Things to note: this is reservation only, multi-course “lunch” (in quotations, because the portions are so generous it could count as dinner), available Fri Sat and Sun with seatings at 12pm and 2:30pm. Price is $125 per person, or for Club Members it’s $110 per person (there is a 20% added gratuity)

Wowee! This place is gorgeous and dreamy! I felt like we were transported to Italy! The grounds and the views are stunning. We came with friends and our children. You can’t picnic in the tasting area but the staff politely directed us to the “farm” portion of the grounds where we were able to eat our deli food under the shade of lush chestnut trees. The kids loved climbing the trees and watching/petting the goats and sheep. There are miles of grape vines to wander too. All the wines were tasty- I even liked their Chardonnay and I don’t usually like white wine! Some reviews remark on poor service but on this busy holiday weekend I found the staff attentive, friendly, & helpful- and I engaged with three different staff during our visit- all pleasant. You should check this place out!

I used to love Alloro and sent many friends there. However my recent visit left me wanting to never come back. The tasting fee has skyrocketed to $45 for 4 wines all more recent than 2021. The pour for each was well under an ounce not even enough to get a swirl. The chef is great but the cost is pushing “normal” people out and I feel that’s their goal. They’ve also changed the seating so it’s just 4 top tables not very welcoming or inviting. There are soo many other options sadly this one is coming off our desired list. We did buy a bottle while there of an Italian wine out of California.
