We just spent the afternoon at Hamacher Wines (19 Oct 22) and had the best time! We called today to see if we could visit and the lady who answered the phone (Sally) said she would love to have us. We arrived and were met by Sally who was so enthusiastic and passionate we knew straight away we made the right choice to visit. We were given a taster glass of pinot rose while she explained the wine tasting we could do, buy a bottle or even just a glass. We decided to go for the wine tasting which was 2 white and 2 red. We were invited to sit outside amongst the vineyard and she would bring out our flight of wines! It was so peaceful and a beautiful afternoon. Every wine was delicious and Sally visited us throughout our tasting to check on us and discuss what we had just tried. She also told us to help ourselves to trying the grapes straight from the vine. We had such a nice time, we didn't want to leave and even ordered another glass of wine after our tasting! We have been in Portland for 3 days and this is absolutely the highlight. Thank you to Sally for being such a gracious and warm...

The 2014 Hammacher pinot noir is lots of fun with tobacco, leather, dark plum, and 3 or 4 other flavors that I never quite identified. This will require more study.
Definitely leaving with 2015 Belize Vineyard Eola, Amity Hills, and the 2014 previously mentioned.
Thank you so much for your hospitality and...
Read moreWe love to go wine tasting and have made it a 2020 goal to visit a new winery each month.

While the location was beautiful and the staff was knowledgeable, the wine itself was not our personal preference. This coupled with the price point for very small pours of the tasting menu and we probably we not be returning.
If you do enjoy chardonnay or pinot, this might be the...
