1000/10!! We couldn’t have had a better afternoon with the study experience at the winery lane collective.
To start, Kristin was a warm and welcoming host and was so friendly throughout the entire experience. The vibe/ambiance in the tasting room was incredible and so unique compared to other wine tastings and tours we have done!
Now to the meal, which was hands down on of the freshest and most flavorful meals we have had. Mia, the owner and chef, walked us through the entire meal with so much of the ingredients coming fresh from the gardens right outside. Mia explained that she cooks the all courses herself with a daily rotating menu (we had gorgeous scallops, homemade focaccia, fresh tomatoes and melon from the garden and plenty more) and we felt that the menu was a perfect mix of playful and thoughtful. The pours on the wines (alap delicious & amazing) were more than generous to pair perfectly with the different courses. They provide pretty much all 4 pours at the start so you can have a ton of fun figuring out your favorite pairings with the each course throughout the meal. We loved the thoughtful and personal approach Kristin and Mia took to the entire experience.
Overall, we loved learning about the history of the house/ tasting room, the general vibe of the whole experience, and the friendliness of the entire team at winery lane collective, especially Kristin and Mia! Personally we think at the price point for the study experience this is such a steal and could not...
Read moreI came here with a group of 8 friends, all people of color, and unfortunately, the experience left us feeling unwelcome. The website says walk ins are welcome, and we were mindful that our group was large. We let the hostess know we were fine waiting until everyone arrived and even acknowledged that we understood if it took time to accommodate us.
It wasn’t busy the hostess even said so, but her attitude felt cold and visibly annoyed. From the start, the energy was uncomfortable. We ordered just one round, paid, tipped, and left. None of us felt truly welcomed.
We couldn’t shake the feeling that our presence wasn’t appreciated, and honestly, that doesn’t sit right with any of us. I hope the staff reflects on how their demeanor affects guests because everyone deserves to feel like they belong. Overall, we gave the place a try but based on how we were treated, we don’t plan...
Read moreDecided to meet up at this place since the website said walk ins welcomed. We went earlier to let the staff know it would be a group of 8 but they have not arrived and told them we can wait, we were patient. The person that helped us was rude at walk up and visibly got upset, she was rude during the entire experience and we just paid tipped and left. Later we called to ask the servers name so that we could leave a review and speak to someone in charge but she answered the phone and would not give us her name. When we mentioned that we felt like we were treated different from the other large group of white people and her excuse was "We have lots of people of color working in the fields"... If you're a person of color I would opt out of going here. Zero...
