We love this area and stop here often on our way to the coast. It's a good place to get it and stretch out legs and use the public restroom. The scenery and the trails in the area are beautiful! I've never been here when the building is open, but it's beautiful from the outside. It'd be a beautiful venue for a wedding, if that's allowed.
The last time we were here, a couple weeks ago, as we were leaving the area we came across a female and 2 males who were walking into the area wearing nothing but their underwear. They had apparently just come up from the river, as they were soaking wet. I do know there tends to be a lot of partying at the nearby campground and day use area. Read moreThis is a fine place for a homestead. The nearby creeks provide ample water supply for farming and drinking, the soil is rich with nutrients, and the natives seem friendly. Also, there is a large rock that I find very appealing, and it does not appear that anyone has yet named it. It would make a fine addition to my collection of eponymous rocks. I hear that the nearby homesteaders, the Joneses and the Galeses, are quite pleasant and would seem to make fine neighbors.
