What a beautiful place to take the kids to the river! We walked the meadow trail to a shallow bank, built a small fire, skipped rocks, did a little wading, and had a picnic. It's near the highway, but the woods cut most of the traffic noise. A perfect spot for outdoor fun.

Beautiful place to cool off on a hot day. There were a good amount of people but plenty of space to spread out. We will try a pull off along the road first next time. Will be back soon.

A great little stop to stretch the legs with the kids. It was raining pretty good while we we're there, but we're planning on heading back on our next trip to Tillamook for a picnic

We love this area and stop here often on our way to the coast. It's a good place to get it and stretch out legs and use the public restroom. The scenery and the trails in the area are beautiful! I've never been here when the building is open, but it's beautiful from the outside. It'd be a beautiful venue for a wedding, if that's allowed.

The last time we were here, a couple weeks ago, as we were leaving the area we came across a female and 2 males who were walking into the area wearing nothing but their underwear. They had apparently just come up from the river, as they were soaking wet. I do know there tends to be a lot of partying at the nearby campground and day use area. Another time, as we were driving over the bridge, we were "mooned" by some teenagers before they jumped over the side of the bridge into the river below. So, take that as a...

This is a fine place for a homestead. The nearby creeks provide ample water supply for farming and drinking, the soil is rich with nutrients, and the natives seem friendly. Also, there is a large rock that I find very appealing, and it does not appear that anyone has yet named it. It would make a fine addition to my collection of eponymous rocks. I hear that the nearby homesteaders, the Joneses and the Galeses, are quite pleasant and would seem to make fine neighbors. The aforementioned creeks are crystal clear and clean as the driven snow, well actually they are in fact melted snow run-off, so I mean they are really great for swimming. As always, make sure to pack plenty of bullets and...
