I grew up going here and it hasn't changed much, it's a really nice campground. There are different types of sites so you can kind of choose what your experience will be (some are more private, some are larger, some are walk-in). There are a few good swimming areas along the river, but it gets super crowded on hot weekends which is a bummer but is expected these days. There's a trail that goes from the campground and follows the river downstream for a long time. It's a really nice trail that I've walked dozens of times and leads to bridges, more swimming areas, all sorts of nature. The trail is currently closed off at the C loop entrance, but there's a sign with a map showing a way to go around. Only had one issue the last time I went which was that they don't sell firewood on certain days (wed-thu I think it was). Seems a little strange not to sell wood on Thursdays but I just drove down the road a mile to get some from the store which had better wood anyway.

Please make sure to wear a life jacket in the water; regardless of how great of a swimmer you are! The waters are beautiful, healing, and VERY cold. The muscles shut down unexpectedly if in cold water too long, so PLEASE WEAR LIFE JACKETS and take breaks so your body can heat up! Between the members of my family and I, we witnessed a child and a family of 6 experience shock from the cold and being directly in the water for too long; so please just practice safety! Beautiful campground, so many spots to engage in a variety of water activities. Bathrooms are clean in loop C, seeming to be cleaned multiple times a week. Friendly camphost, potable water, dumpsters available. Will continue to be back, many times :)

I went camping here once and i come here often for fishing, swimming, and picnics. If you want to go camping it's a great place, only problem is the bath rooms, we had to dig a pit 0-0. Also if you just want to come for a day of fun the entrance to the camp is where the Wilson river flows by, so you can swim and fish in the river but it gets packed in the summer . If your a fisherman like me, there is a lot of deep pools where the salmon, steelhead and cutthroat trout hang out so try some fishing if you want. I caught a nice steelhead and a ton of cuttruat trout there. Then there is also a trail to the Tillamook Forest Center just a short walk...
