All aspects of the Tillamook Forest Center are unique. The location, staff, facilities and theme. The messages of restoration, sustainability, synergism and conservation are presented in an educational experience that reaches every age group. There are vivid examples of natures processes, man's dependence on forest products and the astounding history of the Tillamook Forest. The evolution of a charred wasteland, caused by the Tillamook Burns, into a sustainable resource we can enjoy today is truly a miracle of interaction between communities, conservationists and the timber industry. This process can be absorbed by visitors through viewing an astonishing movie about the Tillamook Burns and by viewing the numerous displays which chronicle the stages of restoring the forest. From thorough absorption of the interpretive centers' numerous displays to special presentations by a friendly, knowledgeable staff to a relaxing walk on the groomed trails to a spectacular view from the Wilson River bridge a visit to the Center is a truly remarkable experience that is not duplicated anywhere else. I encourage everyone to make a special effort to visit this very...

While on our way to the coast we decided to pull in and check out The Tillamook Forest Center.. Wow.. we are pleasantly surprised to find how beautiful the immediate area surrounding the center is... the parking area has a lookout tower which captures your attention, an informative area where you can learn more about the area and as you make your way to the back there's a nice little bridge that takes you across a creek.. though our visit was fairly quick due to we had many things to see in our day with a very limited amount of time .. we couldn't help but feel like we missed out on a few more amazing experience and things that place had to offer.. we plan on making a second visit and exploring it more.. And like always please go by the leave no trace policy and leave it better than...

Very disappointing. My husband was stranded without cell service and was experiencing issues with his truck. He was given a ride here by some kind people who saw him struggling by the side of the highway. He used the PAY phone at this location trying to get help until he was out of change....they refused to let him use their perfectly functioning regular phone to call for assistance. They also have internet, and refused to allow him to access the wifi to continue trying to figure out how he could get home. How terrible must you be to watch someone absolutely soaked to the core with rain trying to just get help to be able to come home to his wife and infant daughter and refuse to be even a little bit accommodating? I'm appalled. I can't fathom what sort of human being would...
