The hiking trails here are outstanding! Very well marked with signs at every intersection indicating where you are and which direction you are heading. The paths are well cleared and maintained. There are miles and miles of trails and if you added them all up it would probably be over 10 miles worth(rough estimate). To correct one of the other reviewers, as they stated there is one main trailhead however there are quite a few different location where you can park and still access the trails and you are not just limited to only the main trailhead entrance. Bring lots of bug spray you will...

Beautiful hiking trail. Did 5 miles. I went into the Bald Mountain rec area where the beach is and had a hard time finding the trail head. Walked out the back of the park, down the trail at the back of the last roundabout and down that road a ways until I found a trail head. Easy enough to remember now, but if you're hiking, I'd find one of the trails head roads and drive to it instead of going thru the rec area like I did. Lots of scenery, some good hills, not too buggy. And ended with a nice swim at the lake. Makes...

Great trail. Wherever the trail split there was a small map and directions. Varying distances and difficult enough to be more fun than walking on pavement. Really pleasant sights and personally I loved the sound of the wind and leaves rustling the most!

Only bummer was the amount of mosquitoes. We went during July/August and were covered. Go in colder months or bring some bug repellant and you...

Did the north trailhead and the orange trail on it which 3.6 miles. Nice mainly flat trail with lots of greenery. Very serene and only passed around 6-8 people in the almost 2 hours we were there. Only downside is lots of bugs and gnats since it’s a heavily forested area. We sprayed a lot of bug spray and it was our saving grace. Make sure you bug spray up if you hike this trail.

We only explored a little (kids: 5, 3 and 6 weeks with us) but what we saw was nice. Limited facilities (e.g. bathrooms, garbage cans, picnic tables, benches) that we could find but nice wide trails with limited elevation changes. Parking both at Heart Lake and East Graham Lake. East Graham also has a single vault toilet and DNR info board.
