Schussler Park — Attraction in Orland Township

The park is nice, but the people living in the area not so much. I work with adults with developmental disabilities and we went to here this past Wednesday. Within 5 minutes of arriving in the area our group was approached by police saying that they got a report of a suspicious van in the parking lot. 80% of the 5 minutes we had been there were spent by me spraying every individual in my group down with sunscreen while standing right next to our van. The park is beautiful & kept very clean, but be very wary of the residents in the area. I was just here over the weekend. Me and my friends wanted to kick around a soccer ball so we went over to Schussler. It was going fine and we had a lot of fun, but a public works employee came over and said we had to leave because it was closing. This was at 3:30pm. It's a huge park that has something for everyone. Bbq, fishing, playground for the kids, tennis courts, basketball, soccer field and football, sledding hills, cornhole bags, baseball fields, wide open spaces, plenty of parking, and pavilions. Trees and plenty of shade. Seriously I don't know what else you could ask for. I really enjoyed this place and recommend it...
