As so many other reviews have stated- the spaces are very tight. Our family booked lot 15 which is to the far right and is ocean front. We had enough wiggle room to get are far over the right as possible to give us space between us and our neighbors. But very tight spots. Many pull behinds take up their entire lot space so the towing vehicles are parked a little wonky and take up driving space in the lot. The picnics tables are nice but are in the way for many visitors. Our water spigot leaked badly but we made do.
There’s two beach entrances from the park. The one to the right is badly overgrown. The one to the far left is easier to walk down. And I don’t know if the overgrown vegetation contributed to it, but the sand flies tore me up really bad over there so don’t forget your deet! Also, next to spot 15 is where everyone takes their dogs to potty. I wasn’t bothered by that but keep that in mind of you bring your pet.
The bath houses were clean. We never found them dirty. The dumpster on the other hand, was full when we arrived on a Tuesday. It was overflowing and trash was everywhere until it was picked up Friday. Even the doggy waste trash was full and stank when you walk by it to get to the bath houses. That was kind of unpleasant.
There’s not much to do here other than chill out in and around the park. This is a residential area and not much traffic comes through it seems. We didn’t have an additional car so when we need something we walked 1.1 miles to the dollar general or the .6 miles to Publix (which will also deliver).
Hotel staff was friendly and easy to deal with. We learned about the first right of refusal and booked the same spot for next year. My husband found that he really liked it here because he likes to relax. I found that we need to bring a car next year because I like to venture out. We both found that the sunrise is so easy to view here that you can’t beat the price of this park with...
Read moreThis RV Park was great. My family absolutely loved being so close to the ocean, especially being further north on the Volusia coast where your not able to drive on the beach not only made the sand so much softer and cleaner, you also get to see a lot more "live" Ocean species throughout the tide. Being able to have use of their "Salt Water" pool, plus on site bathrooms with showers were great amenities as well. Our only concern/downside to this RV Park, was that the spots were entirely too close together. Even after requesting the largest site available, (which by the way is 40'), was still difficult to squeeze into. This particular spot we got also happened to be the very 1st one in the RV Park's second entrance. We thought having the very 1st spot was great! It meant that we weren't going to be in between anyone, and wouldn't be too crowded. However unfortunately, there was an extreme lack of privacy in this particular spot. There is no privacy fence, or any sort of wall between the site and Highway A1A, not to mention there wasn't much distance between the site and the Highway. Which meant that not only everyone walking by, but even every vehicle passing by could not only see us sitting outside, all of our belongings we had set up were visible as well. If there was some sort of privacy fence, or concrete wall blocking this spot from the highway, it would've been absolutely perfect for us. Even hearing the traffic didn't seem to bother us much. The only problem was the lack of privacy, since this was the side that our door opened on, (which was the reason for all of our belongings being placed there). We would only suggest a privacy fence, or maybe some sort of wall since the traffic flies through here, which made us fear the possibility of being ran into by a passing vehicle. I would recommend this RV Park, only reason for not having the 5☆'s was the privacy issue, and maybe...
Read moreDefinitely completely misleading description, "ocean view". My site had a perfect view of A1A highway, but NO OCEAN VIEW. When I called the front office about having paid for an ocean view, but given a site next to the busy A1A highway. I thought they made a mistake because no one would descibe this site as ocean view. They quickly said "if you don't like it, you can leave". I explained I just drove 6 hours to get here and took the week off work for this vacation. I am literally 30 feet from the A1A and no possibility of seeing the ocean from the site. I couldn't believe the nonchalant attitude about their obviously false advertising of an ocean view site. I am not a lawyer, but I am sure their ocean view description should be illegal. I have never been so disappointed in purchasing a campsite! Now, I have to listened to the loud traffic on A1A (causing my dogs to be very anxious) for 8 days instead of the nice, peaceful vacation I had planned 2 months ago.
Responding to the owner: Obviously the ocean is East. I was showing my great view of A1A. I added a picture of the best Eastern view I have...notice trees and building view. Your website does not have campsites labeled as oceanview, ocean front, or street view. I expected to at least be within 4 sites of the beach so there could be a possibility of an oceanview with the prices you charged me for the site. I will acknowledge I just received a phone call from your manager who at least apologized for the unacceptable response of...
