Bermuda Falls — Attraction in Oroville

In 1981-82 during my senior year @ Oroville High School this was the summer place to party - keggers! . It started out as a few friends in our "Gang" but then quickly the word spread and the secret was out. Just like when we used to party at the old A&W restaurant parking lot it quickly went from being a beautiful fun place to relax and party to a bunch of disrespectful people trashing the place up. Once the crowd got too big the Parks dept blocked it off for safety reasons. But until it got out of control it was wonderful. Its a short walk if you come in from oregon gulch road.been swimming there for 40+ years .when in high school you could go from cherokee rd all the way to the spillway launch ramp and it was only about 200 yards to walk.It is a great place to swim early in the year usually till june or july after that the water flow isnt sufficent and it gets stagnit and green.We kept it a local secret for years not alot of people knew about it and treated it with respect.The kids now have no respect for nothing trash broken bottles id be afraid to...
