Caution: Unprofessional Behavior at Heartland Tattoo, run don't walk away from this place.
I am deeply disappointed to share my experience with Heartland Tattoo, who I observed in action at a convention this weekend. A place where, unfortunately, the atmosphere is marred by the this sad little mans conduct. As a supporter of local businesses and the arts, it’s distressing to witness a lack of professionalism and respect, particularly towards young artists. The owner, a "so called" senior figure in the industry, should be nurturing the next generation, not undermining them with passive-aggressive comments and rude behavior. It's quite disgusting and obviously motivated by jealousy.
It is disheartening to see talented young artists being treated with such disrespect. This not only creates a toxic environment but also discourages new talent from flourishing in their craft. A business, especially one in the creative arts, should uplift and inspire, not belittle and intimidate.
Its pathetic and quite sad to watch.
I urge potential customers and artists looking to collaborate or seek mentorship to consider this experience. The art community thrives on respect, encouragement, and constructive guidance, qualities that are sorely missing in interactions with the owner of Heartland Tattoo. There are many other studios that embody these values, and I recommend seeking out those places that align more closely with the spirit of creativity and respect.
Idk if he had a crush on these girls and just doesn't know how to behave around powerful women or he is just truely a small sad man. Either way I would never spend any money at a place like that. I hope you...
Read moreLocated on Lackland in what might loosely be called downtown Overland (or as I have seen it referred to elsewhere as the land that time forgot...), one might drive right past and not give it a second thought. But if you are in the market for a tattoo, whether it be your first or finishing up your back, I would say that this place is the epitome of a hidden gem. Check out their website for references material, or bring your own. Either way it's low key, unpretentious, has no interest in appealing to the 'hip' crowd, yet welcoming and comfortable. I would recommend an appointment set up ahead of time as opposed to a walk in, but I only live about 3/4 of a mile away so it's very convenient for me and easy to get in fairly quickly. I believe in supporting local businesses whenever possible, and this place deserves a look, especially if you want professional, clean work done by great people. Highly...
